Do you have a passion for technology and customer service? Are you eager to help customers with smart solutions and play an active role in turning their requests into the best technical modifications and/or proactive upgrades? Then we look forward to meeting you as our new Sales Engineer Service.

What do we expect from you?

As part of our Service Organization, you will provide technical support and expertise to customers, Customer Support teams, and Field Service teams. You ensure that service cases, quotations, and projects are handled on time and in line with customer expectations.

Your focus will be on preparing quotations for primarily mechanical and additional automation/control solutions within the sales engineering team. You will work on system modifications for JBT Marel equipment, identify opportunities for technical standardization, and act as portfolio owner for improvement and standardization projects.

You will also create a structured approach for obsolete parts, upgrades, and improvement projects within the product lifecycle of our machines. Additionally, you will monitor the status of open quotation requests, report technical feedback to identify structural issues, and act as the link between Service and the project organization.

To succeed, you will continuously develop your technical and product knowledge to provide accurate advice and solutions to internal and external stakeholders.

Your main responsibilities:

  • Translate customer requests into accurate technical quotations and order confirmations
  • Transfer order details to the project team once confirmed
  • Advise customers and commercial teams on technical solutions and create and introduce standardized solutions to the market
  • Identify technical improvements that create commercial opportunities (up-sell and cross-sell) and share them internally
  • Participate in on-site activities to build knowledge of upgrades and (standard) modifications (10%)
  • Collaborate with customers, R&D, Engineering, suppliers, and attend sales meetings when required
  • Support innovation and maintenance concepts by sharing technical insights
  • Develop and promote technical documentation, training materials, best practices, and manuals
  • Work with Service Business and Marketing to create a standardized product-to-market process via Salesforce, including product launches and structured workflows
