At Wolters Kluwer Legal & Regulatory, we are looking for a Sales Compensation Analyst who thrives in an international environment and enjoys working at the intersection of Sales, Finance, HR, and operational excellence.

The Role

As a Sales Compensation Analyst within the Legal & Regulatory Division of Wolters Kluwer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping, coordinating, and optimizing sales compensation processes across multiple business units. You will be the key link between local business units, sales teams, compensation system administrators, and corporate stakeholders, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and continuous improvement in our sales incentive programs. This position is part of the Marketing, Sales & Services Centre of Excellence, which drives standardization, operational excellence, and strategic capability-building across the division.

What will you do?

  • Lead and coordinate local sales compensation processes across multiple business units within the Legal & Regulatory Division.
  • Facilitate the design, deployment, and ongoing enhancement of sales compensation and commission plans.
  • Provide training and guidance to sales teams to ensure understanding of plan mechanics and earning opportunities.
  • Analyse, recommend, and support the implementation of harmonized compensation structures aligned with global standards and local objectives.
  • Support the configuration and maintenance of compensation plans in the Xactly incentive management system, in collaboration with the Xactly Administrator.
  • Deliver steering insights and monitor sales compensation performance metrics to support strategic decisions at both divisional and business-unit levels.
  • Validate monthly commission payouts, ensuring accuracy and securing required approvals from Finance and Business stakeholders.
  • Investigate compensation-related issues, identify root causes, implement corrective actions, and ensure policy alignment.
  • Conduct regular audits to safeguard data integrity and compliance with internal controls.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-country teams across Leadership, Finance, Sales, HR, and IT.

Your skills and profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, HR or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in sales compensation, incentives, or data analytics.
  • Solid understanding of compensation principles, incentive design, and performance measurement.
  • Strong analytical capabilities with the ability to turn complex data into actionable insights.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to align compensation structures with broader business goals.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively across functions and countries.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated creativity and continuous-improvement mentality.
  • Comfortable working with diverse business units and compensation models.
  • Ability to learn and effectively use sales compensation management systems.
  • Able to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity.
  • Can work independently in complex situations and lead cross-functional projects.

Soft Skills

In this role, you bring strong stakeholder-management capabilities and the ability to build trusted relationships across countries and functions. You approach challenges with a problem-solving mindset and demonstrate sound critical-thinking skills when evaluating complex information. You take ownership of your work, show accountability in your decisions, and operate effectively in a dynamic international environment. You collaborate naturally with others, influence without authority, and communicate clearly and confidently at all levels of the organization. Your adaptability enables you to navigate change with ease, while your resilience ensures you stay focused and solution oriented.

Why this role with us?

In this role, you will shape the compensation framework that directly drives sales performance across an international organization. You will be part of a Centre of Excellence that is central to the division’s strategic direction, gaining exposure to senior stakeholders and initiatives with global impact. You will have the opportunity to influence key decisions, improve operational excellence, and contribute to harmonizing compensation practices across countries, making your work highly visible and meaningful.
