Are you an Industrial Engineering student and enthusiastic about quality and safety?

Are you looking for a diverse Industrial Engineering (TBK) internship within the Quality | Environment | Safety | Health department? At Neways Leeuwarden, you’ll have the opportunity to work on three different assignments while closely collaborating with colleagues from Production, Engineering, Sales and more.

What will you do as a QESH Intern?

As an intern, you will have the chance to work on three different projects, allowing you to gain extensive hands-on experience. Your tasks will include:

• Setting up a new database/structure for production maintenance and production data registration;
• Improving the workflow related to work instructions for incoming goods (researching, advising, and implementing improvements);
• Creating an integrated overview of all customer requirements and agreements. In doing so, you will use SharePoint and Excel and work on a solution that is up-to-date, clear, version-controlled, and manageable based on user permissions.

• An internship allowance of €400 gross per month (based on a full-time internship). In addition, through A+O Metalektro, there is an extra internship allowance of €30 gross per day. The possibility to apply for this scheme closes once the maximum budget has been reached, so we cannot guarantee the additional allowance.

What do we expect from you?

• You are an enthusiastic, eager-to-learn, and proactive intern;
• You work independently and easily connect with others;
• You are proficient with Excel and SharePoint;
• You are pursuing an HBO degree in Industrial Engineering and Management (Technische Bedrijfskunde) and are in your 3rd or 4th year;
• You are available for an internship period of 5 months starting in February 2026.
