Finance Internship at Danone Specialized Nutrition Unit Global Headquarters

You will have the chance to support our Topline (marketing and sales) Controlling Finance team in our Danone Specialized Nutrition Unit Global Headquarters. You will be part of a highly motivated, international team and you will work at our office in Hoofddorp, NL.

You will have the opportunity to learn and gain hands-on experience on the basics of a Topline Controlling role within a multinational company. Analyzing, presenting conclusions & recommendations are essential for this position and your development as a Finance Controller within Danone. You will be interacting with several senior stakeholders in teams across the organization such as Global Marketing and Sales as well supporting in creating deliverables that will reach top management of the company. Within Finance, we are the business partners for innovative and topline initiatives across the group and play a key role in the company’s strategy. For your development you will have access to a wide range of company tools with an extensive range of different trainings and e-learnings where you can deep dive in many fields of expertise. In addition, you will have expert guidance and support from your business manager and the team.

Throughout this internship, you will have to prove yourself being able to adapt to the challenging Topline controlling environment and appear as a key business partner to the teams.

Key responsibilities of this role are:

• Be part of monthly closures – consolidation, analysis and animation of the actual and forecasted Net Sales Performance of the Specialized Nutrition Unit.
• Support with rolling-out forecasts and strategic planning – consolidate, analyze and communicate figures appropriately to the right stakeholders
• Design & Refresh reports – build financial dashboards (mainly through PowerBI tool) for the attention of the leadership team, as well come with suggestions to improve existing reports
• Support A&P process, support the different business teams regarding central A&P (advertisement & promotion costs) budget spending on a monthly basis and help the team cross-charging within the company.

Next to this, you will have the opportunity to take part in transversal projects with different finance stakeholders.

About you

You should be an enthusiastic self-starter who is organized, has an eye for details, is not afraid to work autonomously and knows how to prioritize & respect deadlines. You have:

• An analytical mindset with excellent Excel skills (including vlookups and pivot tables);
• You are proactive, open-minded motivated and open to learn
• Strong communication skills;
• Excellent attention to detail & commitment to deliver high quality and accurate results;
• The ability to challenge situations, act with resilience and manage senior stakeholders;
• Great team spirit;
• Strong Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel & Microsoft PowerPoint
• Knowledge of Power-BI is preferred

There are also some compulsory requirements:

• You are an enrolled Bachelor/Master student in Business & Economics, Accounting, Finance or any other relevant field (non-EU citizens are only eligible to apply if they are enrolled in a Dutch university);
• You are fluent in English – oral and written.
• You are available for at least 6 months, 5 days per week.
• Be present during our office days (2/3 days per week) in Hoofddorp, rest of week is Hybrid
• Please note that you are required to relocate to the Netherlands (if abroad) for this internship and get a BSN number.
