About the role:
Do you love turning raw data into powerful insights that drive real business impact? As a Senior Data Engineer at Versuni, you’ll play a key role in shaping how data flows across our organization. You’ll design and optimize our data platform, ensuring that business users have secure, high-quality data at their fingertips. From onboarding external data to improving governance and performance, you’ll help create a foundation that fuels innovation and smarter decision-making. The impact you’ll make:
- Enable seamless access to high-quality data, empowering teams and AI to generate actionable insights.
- Build and optimize a secure, high-performing AWS Databricks-centric data platform that scales with business needs.
- Drive data democratization by creating best practices, training, and fostering communities of practice for transparency and autonomy.
- Enhance our Power BI environment, ensuring it’s fully equipped for business analysts to deliver impactful insights.
- Elevate our technical architecture by embedding digital best practices into every process, tool, and technology—on time and on budget.
The skills and knowledge you’ll bring:
- MSc/BSc level education with focus on Information Technology / Data Analytics
- Solid experience in Data Engineering / IT in mid-sized and large companies
- Strong knowledge of data pipelines, data models, and enterprise-level enablement of the Databricks platform
- Familiarity with advanced topics such as CI/CD, compute configuration, monitoring, security settings, Unity Catalog, and add-ins
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to translate and communicate technical topics between technical and nontechnical business partners
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken
