Community & Event Manager

Female Ventures Team Delft/The Hague is looking for a hands-on and proactive volunteer team member! This position is based in the Delft/The Hague area.

What’s Female Ventures?

At Female Ventures we believe every woman leads her own personal venture. We focus on awareness and support women in planning their careers. How do we achieve this? We organize (online & face-to-face) events such as workshops, lectures, and other kinds of events, to inspire women and help them build their network. During these events, women share their own stories and experiences under the pleasure of drinks and networking. By uniting ambitious women and giving them visibility, we offer them a safe and inspiring environment to flourish, build a network and gain opportunities to venture.

What are you going to do?

(average 2-4 hours per week)

The tasks and responsibilities are varied. Here are some examples:

• Co-organize Female Ventures events and networking drinks in The Hague
• Ensure we have quality speakers and trainers
• Coordinate with the speakers and trainers and brief them on content expected, and style of delivery
• Discuss and brainstorm with the city team on topics we find relevant for our community
• Engage with our community and get an understanding of their needs and wishes
• Develop and implement ideas to further engage and grow our community
• Connect to companies who are interested in partnering with us by, for example, hosting our events
• Prepare and execute social media campaigns to advertise upcoming events together with our Marketing volunteers
• Develop strategies to increase the visibility of Female Ventures
• Come up with strategies and ideas for funding our events and workshops

What we’re looking for

We value proactive, hands-on volunteers who enjoy connecting people and building community. Ideally, you:

• Are warm, organised, and confident interacting with groups.
• Enjoy hosting events and creating welcoming atmospheres.
• Are comfortable speaking in front of a group and representing Female Ventures in public.
• Have an interest in community building, events, or partnerships.
• Take ownership and can commit to a steady weekly contribution.
• Enjoy working collaboratively within a mission-driven team.
