Senior UX/UI Software Designer

To deliver on our mission to secure sustainable and affordable food processing, we are looking for an additional passionate and purpose-driven Senior User Experience (UX) Designer to join our UX team within Marel’s Software Solutions Division. Here you will be working side by side with Product Management and our 18 development teams that are distributed over multiple geographical locations, for instance Reykjavik in Iceland, Boxmeer in the Netherlands, and Aarhus in Denmark.

The role

As Senior UX Designer for one of our software solutions, you will drive design processes end-to-end, from user needs research to design of well-crafted user interfaces.

In this role, you will:

• Research user needs together with Product Managers
• Facilitate ideation methods, such as co-creation, design sprints, etc.
• Conceptualize ideas that bring user friendliness to complex food processing software
• Create prototypes, wireframes, journey maps, and other digital concepts
• Design pixel-perfect user interfaces
• Adopt and contribute to our new Design System library
• Conduct usability testing and analyze user feedback
• Oversee that UI implementation matches design intent

What kind of a person are you?

We are looking for someone with the following qualifications:

• Master's degree in UI Design, Service Design, Product Design, or a similar field
• 8+ years’ work experience with UX research and design
• Fluent in Figma and basic proficiency with the Adobe Creative Suite
• Full UX toolbox experience with user research, journey mapping, conceptualizing, prototyping, wireframing, interface design, usability testing, etc.
• Knowledge of UI patterns for mobile apps, touchscreen designs, and responsive websites
• Interest in understanding and designing within a complex technical domain
• Comfortable handling multiple tasks simultaneously
• A positive, driven, flexible, pragmatic, and diplomatic mindset
• Excellent team spirit, networking, and coordination skills
• Work experience from an agile development environment like SAFe or similar is a plus

The corporate language is English, so you need to be fluent in English, both verbally and in writing.
