What you’ll be doing

We’re looking for a result-driven and experienced project manager who knows how to navigate complexity, inspire teams, and deliver successful outcomes. At Marel, you follow our Product Development Process (PDP) to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget. With your strong sense of ownership and your experience in international settings, you take full responsibility for both the progress and the quality of your projects and the data that drives them.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage cross-functional project teams with a clear sense of direction and collaboration.
  • Take ownership of project timelines and budgets, ensuring efficient and on-target delivery.
  • Actively monitor ongoing projects and contribute with a sharp, constructive perspective to drive continuous improvement.
  • In close collaboration with the project team, translate ideas into concrete plans, take the lead, assign roles, and define the necessary actions to drive progress.
  • Ensure all stakeholders are informed in a timely and transparent manner through clear reporting and effective communication.
  • Ensure compliance with Marel’s internal policies and processes, promoting a structured and reliable project environment.
  • Visit customers and partners when project needs require on-site collaboration or support.

  • Ability to translate complex technical information into clear, simple, and accessible language for a broad audience.
  • Positive, solution-focused mindset and a can-do attitude.
  • Driven, passionate, proactive, and well-organized professional with analytical and strategic thinking abilities.

Education, knowledge and experience:

  • Master’s degree in Engineering or relevant field
  • Education in project management
  • Minimum of 10 years of project management experience in an Innovation environment
  • Knowledgeable on the Agile mindset and extensive experience in Agile project management methodologies (e.g. SCRUM, Kanban)
  • Experience working in multicultural and multidisciplinary organizations, with comfort in navigating diverse teams and environments.
  • Skilled in English and Dutch, both written and verbal, ensuring clear and effective communication.
