Job Purpose:

As Senior Category Manager, you will define and execute category strategies, lead sourcing and contracting activities, and ensure supplier performance supports business objectives. You will act as a trusted partner to internal stakeholders, driving value, innovation, and sustainability across your category.

Your tasks:

• Lead end-to-end sourcing activities, from identifying needs to selecting suppliers, conducting negotiations, and managing contracts.
• Develop, define, and implement innovative category strategies that create long-term value for DHL.
• Build and maintain strong partnerships with internal stakeholders, ensuring alignment between business needs and procurement solutions.
• Monitor supplier performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and ensure compliance with contractual agreements.
• Analyze market trends, benchmark best practices, and proactively identify opportunities for innovation and savings.
• Contribute to cross-functional projects and share knowledge within the global procurement community.

Your profile:

• 3+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, preferably within Temp Labour market.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across functions.
• Proven negotiation expertise with a record of achieving successful, value-driven agreements.
• Excellent analytical skills, capable of interpreting complex data and translating insights into action.
• Skilled in relationship and project management, comfortable working in diverse, cross-functional teams.
• Fluent in English and Dutch, both written and spoken.
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), MS Project, and familiar with procurement tools and processes.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, preferably in engineering (mechanical, industrial, or related field).
