If you are passionate about driving revenue growth, leading high-impact teams, and making a difference in software engineering, we invite you to join SIG.

Who We Are

At Software Improvement Group (SIG), we are committed to transforming the software engineering landscape. Through our innovative software assurance platform, Sigrid, and our team of expert IT consultants, we provide organizations with the tools and insights they need to enhance software quality, manage risks, and seize opportunities. We specialize in deep source code analysis and strategic advice, enabling our clients to achieve robust IT Portfolio Governance and navigate the complexities introduced by AI. As we look towards 2026, our ambition is to lead the industry in software modernization and technical debt management, and we are seeking visionary leaders to join us on this journey.

How We Work

Reporting directly to the CEO in Amsterdam, the Global Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) will be responsible for shaping and executing the company’s commercial strategy, with a strong emphasis on revenue acceleration, market penetration, and scalable go-to-market performance across North America, Europe, and Asia.

In this role, you will lead a high-impact global organization, overseeing direct sales, partner sales, customer success, and marketing. Your mission will be to define and implement a robust commercial strategy that drives customer acquisition, increases customer value, and strengthens the company’s competitive position.

You will architect and manage an integrated commercial engine that encompasses sales, customer success, and marketing, aiming to maximize demand generation, enhance conversion rates throughout the sales funnel, and support predictable, repeatable, and profitable revenue growth. This includes aligning global sales strategies, pricing approaches, partner ecosystems, customer success retention and expansion programs, as well as marketing initiatives to ensure consistent execution in all key markets.

Additionally, you will provide executive leadership to both direct and indirect sales teams, fostering close collaboration and synergy between them. You will also play a key role in setting up and leveraging partner ecosystems, ensuring a clear value proposition for both direct and indirect clients. This involves developing and executing strategies that maximize partner engagement and drive joint sales efforts.

Driving Success and Collaboration

Partnering closely with Sales Leadership across direct sales, partner sales, and customer success, you will design and execute demand-generation programs that directly support pipeline creation, deal acceleration, and revenue growth in our core markets across North America, Europe, and Asia. Your approach is data-driven and commercially focused, emphasizing programs that convert leads, shorten sales cycles, and enhance customer value.

You understand what sales teams need to succeed, and you collaborate with them to develop targeted campaigns, account-specific strategies, and scalable go-to-market motions. You will ensure alignment and consistency in our commercial messaging, providing sales teams globally with clear, compelling, and actionable materials. Additionally, you will ensure that every activity aligns with revenue priorities and opportunities identified by the sales team.

Where You Come In

  • Provide executive leadership for all global revenue functions, including direct sales, channel sales, customer success, and marketing, ensuring complete alignment with revenue growth and customer lifetime value.
  • Own and manage revenue-generating budgets across sales, marketing, and customer success. Evaluate performance against defined KPIs and optimize investments to accelerate growth and profitability.
  • Lead regional and global sales operations to implement business plans, drive pipeline expansion, and support strategic initiatives that enhance market penetration and customer retention.
  • Develop and execute an integrated go-to-market calendar that includes demand-generation programs, segmented campaigns, and the launch of new products and solutions to meet aggressive growth targets.
  • Cultivate and oversee strategic relationships with industry analysts, PR partners, and key influencers, ensuring strong market visibility, brand credibility, and alignment with messaging and programs. Consistently deliver against revenue, pipeline, and operational performance targets, maintaining accountability for timelines, execution excellence, and commercial results.
  • Drive the Shift-Up initiative, ensuring the senior management of our clients has visibility into IT Portfolio Governance to manage costs, risks, and opportunities effectively.
  • Lead marketing efforts to generate leads, build reputation, and share success stories that position SIG as the thought leader in IT Portfolio Governance.
  • Enhance collaboration between direct and indirect sales teams to optimize deal flow and client value delivery.
  • Standardize sales approaches and pitches to improve efficiency and effectiveness across the sales organization.

What’s In It for You?

At SIG, you can make a difference by helping organizations ensure they can trust the software systems that are essential to our everyday lives. If you share our belief that it is vital to manage software engineering effectively and prevent serious incidents, you will be at the forefront of progress at SIG.

We offer a role filled with diverse experiences that will allow you to sharpen and develop new skills. You will also have access to continuous learning and unique knowledge. Your colleagues will be a fun, youthful, and highly educated group. Our work schedules are flexible, and many of us successfully balance our careers with family life. Our organizational structure is flat, providing ample room for your initiatives and ideas.

Job Requirements

  • Over 10 years of experience in commercial leadership, sales management, or revenue operations, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role, preferably in an international context.
  • Prior experience in the US market is preferred.
  • Proven track record of driving revenue growth, building high-performing sales teams, and expanding international B2B SaaS business pipelines.
  • Acts as a "playing captain" with an entrepreneurial mindset and a hands-on approach, capable of balancing strategy with operational execution.
  • Provides a clear and ambitious vision, translating it into concrete, measurable outcomes across the entire commercial funnel.
  • Serves as a strategic and cross-functional business leader, navigating the complexities of a scaling company while aligning sales, marketing, customer success, and operations.
  • A supportive and empathetic leader who prioritizes team growth and development, fostering a culture of high performance, accountability, and collaboration.
  • Combines adaptability, resilience, and cultural sensitivity to stay ahead of SIG's market position and explore long-term growth opportunities.
  • Possesses deep expertise in pipeline creation, revenue forecasting, and sustainable sales expansion, with a strong focus on predictable, data-driven growth.

We weten hoe we softwarekwaliteit moeten meten. En we weten hoe organisaties méér uit software kunnen halen.
