During the Murex Development Program at Rabobank, you will work on your career by supporting the Murex production environment, resolving technical incidents, and collaborating on system upgrades and automation initiatives. You’ll gain hands-on experience with complex systems and tools, and build deep technical expertise in a hybrid role based in Utrecht.

After completing the programme, you can progress into advanced technical roles, take on project responsibilities, and explore leadership opportunities within Rabobank’s technology organisation. You’ll be supported by experienced professionals and a strong mentorship culture to guide your development.

In this role, you’ll join either our Production Support or Engineering squad, working closely with business stakeholders to deliver change in an agile, incremental way. The programme offers structured onboarding, regular coaching, and hands-on learning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the Murex production environment, ensuring stability and performance.
• Assist in resolving technical incidents and performing root cause analysis.
• Collaborate on system upgrades, migrations, and automation initiatives.

Your development as a Junior DevOps Engineer

To become a specialist in your field, your first six months focus on learning through real-world experience. You’ll work alongside experienced engineers, gaining practical knowledge by contributing to actual projects and observing best practices in action. This hands-on approach helps you build confidence, develop technical expertise, and understand how theory translates into practice. You and your talent

• 1-2 years of working experience in IT, software engineering, or systems administration
• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Software Engineering, Business Informatics or Business Information Systems
• Experience or coursework in SQL, Unix/Linux scripting, or Python/Java
• Exposure to CI/CD tools such as GitLab and Jenkins
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies is a plus
• Interest in financial systems and capital markets
• Ability to work collaboratively, communicate clearly and solve problems proactively
