Job Summary

The Quality Systems Auditor is a Regional Quality assurance role where you will operate singularly or within a team to audit Business Management Systems (BMS) and processes, against Regulatory Requirements, Industry Standards, Customer and GKN Aerospace requirements.

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist the Regional BMS Manager / Lead Auditor in the delivery of audit activities that support the respective audit plans and schedules.
  • As appropriate, participate in audit engagement planning, scoping, and follow-up activities.
  • Generate audit questionnaires, based on work instructions, procedures and external quality standards.
  • Deliver the objectives of the audit, ensuring adequate preparation for the conduct of respective audit criteria.
  • Gather audit evidence, prepare the audit and distribute the audit report and conduct the audit follow up.
  • Propagate Quality Culture across GKN Aerospace.
  • Identify and share across the business, best practices and support continuous improvement of the BMS and its processes.
  • Evaluate audit evidence, non-conformities recommendations / opportunities for improvement and communicate subsequent recommendations, including risk identification.
  • Deliver Quality trainings.
  • Prepare personnel authorizations.
  • Support the root cause and corrective action activities.

Job Qualifications

  • A minimum of one year in a Quality or Auditor function.
  • Technical College / University (bachelor’s degree).
  • Strong in both written and verbal communication in English. Dutch is a strong advantage.
  • Obtained Auditing training, through a certified Training Partner.
  • Possess the necessary personal attributes / behaviors to act in accordance with the principles of auditing as described in ISO 19011.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of AS9100 and Aviation Regulators (EASA, FAA etc.) (Training Certificates required).
  • Experience in Problem Solving and Root Cause and Corrective Actions (RCCA) Techniques in order to provide effective audit follow up / closure assessments.
  • Experience in undertaking Internal Audits against the audit process requirements.
  • An effective communicator with experience in MS applications/tools.

At GKN Fokker ELMO, we make wiring harnesses for aircraft, which connect all the electrical systems in the aircraft. To make the wiring harnesses, we have everything in-house from start to finish.
