We are seeking an experienced Senior Internal IT Manager to take full ownership of our internal technology landscape. This is a critical, hands-on role designed for an expert who thrives on process improvement, governance, and maintaining a secure, highly efficient employee technology experience.
What You'll Be Responsible For
As the Senior Internal IT Manager, you will manage all aspects of Internal IT, focusing on strategy, governance, vendor management, and continuous improvement. Your core responsibilities, informed by our internal structure, will include:
IT Strategy, Governance, and Planning
- Process Ownership: Define, standardize, and optimize key IT operational processes, including internal Help Desk operations (managed largely by our IT partner, L'Comp).
- Vendor & Partner Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for external IT partners (like L'Comp) and system vendors, ensuring SLAs are met, service quality is high, and contracts deliver optimal value.
- Budget & Procurement: Forecast and manage the internal IT budget, overseeing the acquisition of all IT hardware, software licenses, and services to ensure cost-effectiveness and timely renewals.
- IT Tooling Strategy: Collaborate across the business to make sure we have the right internal systems and tools to meet our needs, whilst continuing to meet financial, legal and security requirements.
- Policy Compliance: Closely collaborate with the Security team to ensure all IT systems and employee practices strictly adhere to defined IT and Security policies, including those related to incident management and Bitwarden/Password Management standards.
Internal Systems and Access Management
- Core System Ownership: Serve as the overall administrator and expert owner for our primary systems, including:
- Google Workspace (user lifecycle, licensing, and compliance).
- Bitwarden management coordination with Security.
- Personio integration points related to user onboarding/offboarding workflows.
- Management of the AWS access control structure for non-product related internal systems.
- Access Control (IAM): Oversee access control across our various systems and tools in collaboration with the security team, including management of privileged access, access reviews, responding to access requests, and drive implementation and maintenance of Single Sign On across all new and existing systems.
- Device Management (MDM): Oversee device provisioning and decommissioning processes, managing our MDM solutions (Apple Business Manager, L'Comp/Windows MDM agent) and inventory of spare devices, with attention to country-specific requirements, as well as collaborating with the security team to enforce hardware-level security policies.
- File Storage: Ensure the organization and security of cloud-based file storage (primarily Google Workspace), maintaining data integrity and compliance across all shared and individual drives.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Security Focus
- Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the primary technical liaison for all departments, understanding their needs and translating them into scalable IT solutions.
- Security Partnership (Crucial): Maintain a deep and constant partnership with the Security team on all matters, particularly:
- Enforcing security policies through configuration (e.g., MFA, device compliance).
- Contributing to incident management protocols.
- Standardizing access grants and credential rotation processes.
