Join Atradius as an AGF and Reference Architecture Assistant (Student)

Improve and monitor Reference Architecture

Department and Team: ITS – Architecture Governance Function (AGF)

Reports To: Architecture Governance Lead

Type: Student / Internship Position (Part-Time or Full-Time)

Date & Period: From anytime for a minimum of 6 months

About the Job

Atradius is strengthening its Architecture Governance Function (AGF) and developing a Reference Architecture that brings together all architectural domains. You will report to the Architecture Governance Function Lead. The ambition is to build a coherent and accessible view of the Overall Architecture. We are looking for a motivated, curious, and autonomous student to support this mission by helping us to align, structure, and publish our architecture models across tools such as Sparx EA, Confluence, and Power BI.

This role is ideal for a student passionate about architecture, data modelling, programing, knowledge sharing, but also who is not afraid and will enjoy approaching and working with multiple stakeholders. He will have to take initiative, and to improve the visibility and quality of architecture content, practice and governance.

Main Responsibilities

  • Work independently and proactively to support Domain Architects in maintaining and improving their capability, application, and technology models in Sparx EA, ensuring consistency with the Atradius ArchiMate metamodel.
  • Review and align existing models across domains to improve their structure, completeness, and clarity.
  • Collaborate with architects to ensure model accuracy and consistency, maintaining a unified approach to naming, structure, and relationships.
  • Develop and document autonomous methods to publish architecture content from Sparx EA to Confluence and Power BI, creating accessible and up-to-date visualizations and dashboards. This will likely mean understand the EA Sparx data model, doing some coding, and building or improving some PowerBI reports.
  • Design and implement architecture KPIs and automated quality reports, ensuring data completeness, model health, and adherence to governance standards.
  • Identify and link Architecture Decision Records (ADRs) to relevant architecture models within Sparx EA and the Reference Architecture repository.
  • Engage actively with architects across all domains to review and improve architecture artefacts — facilitating workshops, gathering feedback, and ensuring understanding.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of the Atradius Reference Architecture, helping to make it a living, shareable, and value-adding asset for the enterprise.

Eligibility Requirements

Education:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s student in Information Systems, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Enterprise Architecture (or equivalent field).
  • Fluency to a high degree in English is required, but additional language skills (in particular Spanish) will also be valuable.

Technical Skills:

  • Basic knowledge of Enterprise and generic Architecture concepts: TOGAF, ArchiMate, but also Pattern, Blueprint, Reference architecture, etc.
  • Familiarity with Sparx Enterprise Architect or other modelling tools is a plus.
  • Experience or interest in Confluence, Power BI, or data publishing/integration tools.
  • Understanding of relational data structures and reporting concepts.
  • Ability to work with scripts or APIs (e.g., to export models, automate reports) is a plus.

Soft Skills:

  • Curious, analytical, and proactive mindset.
  • Being avid learner with can-do attitude, not afraid to continuously extend his knowledge.
  • Able to work autonomously without constant supervision while coordinating closely with multiple architects and stakeholders.
  • A finisher: a person able to initiate and manage a course of action through to its completion, from end to end.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, comfortable in engaging with architects and other stakeholders to discuss with and contribute to their work.
  • Attention to detail and a drive for quality and clarity in documentation and models.
  • Interest in enterprise architecture as a discipline and the ability to connect business, application, and technology perspectives.

Why Join Atradius Architecture

  • Participate in building a global, federated architecture practice under the AGF.
  • Learn directly from experienced Business, Domain, and Solution Architects.
  • Gain hands-on experience with real architecture tools, processes, and governance models.
  • Contribute to a meaningful initiative that improves the visibility and accessibility of architecture across Atradius.
  • Develop technical, analytical, and communication skills essential for a future career in Enterprise Architecture or IT Strategy.
