At Philips Avent, we design meaningful innovations that make life better for parents and babies worldwide. Within our Research & Advanced Development (R&AD) team in Eindhoven (and Amsterdam), we don’t just invent — we show the magic behind our innovations.

To bring ideas to life, we create short, impactful “how-it-works” videos that make complex technology instantly clear and show how our solutions outperform competitors. These “killer demo” videos are a bridge between technology, product experience, and storytelling.

We’re looking for a creative, technically curious internship student who combines a passion for product development with strong video editing, animation and storytelling skills. You’ll help us visualize innovation — turning prototypes into stories that inspire and convince.

  • Collaborate with our R&AD team to understand product functions and key differentiators.
  • Create and edit engaging “how-it-works” videos that make people go “aha!”
  • Work hands-on with real products and prototypes, capturing functionality through short, impactful clips.
  • Conduct competitive analyses to highlight what makes Philips Avent stand out.
  • Explore new product ideas or improvement directions for key innovation areas (e.g. bottles, soothers, breast pumps).
  • Work closely with Marketing and Brand Design to align visuals with consumer-facing messages.

You're the right fit if:

  • You’re curious, eager to learn, and not afraid to experiment.
  • Studying Industrial Design, Engineering, or Media at Bachelor’s or Master’s level, with a passion for (video) storytelling and how things work.
  • Experience with video editing tools (Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve).
  • Motion graphics or animation skills (e.g. After Effects) are a plus or you're eager and ambitious to learn independently.
  • A creative eye for detail and an ability to simplify complex ideas visually.
  • Strong communication skills and a proactive, hands-on attitude.

In return, we offer you

Next to that, we are offering a decent internship package:

  • Monthly full-time allowance between €500 - €700 gross, depending on educational level and if you would need to relocate to The Netherlands. If you perform a part-time internship you will receive the allowance pro-rata.
  • Housing compensation, in case of relocating to the vicinity of the office, €300 net if location is in the vicinity of Amsterdam, €255 net for all other Philips locations. You need to provide a rental contract of the landlord, and your normal home-work travel distance need to be more than 50 km or travel time (one way trip) need to be more than 1.5 hours.
  • Travel compensation, if you are not eligible for a free public transport card; you will receive max. €192 net.
  • Paid holidays per internship term.
  • The opportunity to buy Philips equipment at our Philips shop.
