Introduction

The Program Management Office (PMO) at ASML plays a key role in optimizing business value across projects, programs, and portfolios. As part of this team, you’ll help streamline operations and improve efficiency in a fast-paced, international environment. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in project management while contributing to meaningful improvements in how we work. As a PMO intern, you’ll work closely with experienced professionals and gain insight into project and portfolio management at a leading technology company.

Your assignment

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Prepare and centralize standard reports to improve accessibility and reduce workload
  • Maintain and update project documentation for transparency and ease of use
  • Analyze team activities to identify tasks suitable for centralization or automation
  • Propose practical solutions to improve efficiency and reduce manual work
  • Develop and support the implementation of an action plan for process improvements
  • Assist in organizing and structuring project-related information
  • Collaborate with team members to gather input and drive operational excellence

This is a bachelor or master internship for a minimum of 5 months, at least 4 days per week (with at least 2 days on-site). The start date of this internship is February 2026.

If your assignment includes a research (thesis) component, you’ll dedicate one day per week to investigating which team activities can be streamlined further. You’ll examine existing processes, gather input from team members, and recommend ways to make our work more efficient.

Your profile

To be suitable for the internship, you:

  • Are enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in any discipline, with interest in project or change management
  • Are detail-oriented, organized, and eager to learn
  • Can work independently and collaboratively in a team
  • Have strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing

Other requirements you need to meet:

  • You are enrolled at an educational institute for the entire duration of the internship
  • Attach your cover letter with a clear motivation why you are interested in this internship assignment in particular
  • You need to be located in the Netherlands to perform your internship. In case you are currently living/studying outside of the Netherlands, your CV/motivation letter should include your willingness to relocate
  • If you are a non-EU citizen studying in the Netherlands, your university must be willing to sign the documents relevant for doing an internship (i.e., Nuffic agreement)
