Looking for the next challenge? Do you like to travel? Why not join us in our growing Service Team?

As a Field Service Engineer Control Systems at Marel, your most important responsibility is to install and maintain our machines and processes at our customers. Customer satisfaction, preparation, global travel, executing the job, and reporting are important characteristics in this job.

What you'll be doing

  • Work with a wide range of our software solutions, such as process control applications, reporting software, and vision applications.
  • Prepare and execute software deployment and network infrastructure for installation jobs.
  • Perform production data analysis and provide customers with advice based on this data.
  • Optimize and improve the infrastructure of our software solutions at customer sites.
  • Troubleshoot issues at customers’ sites.
  • Conduct service visits and provide remote support.
  • Co-operate with local employees in larger installation projects.
  • Keep in touch with, and report to, the customer and internal stakeholders about your progress.
  • Train the customer and provide feedback to your colleagues.

You will work in a team with experienced coworkers, both at customer sites and in the office, who will teach you all the knowledge they have about our solutions.

Since you will be travelling globally, you will be away from home on a regular basis.

To ensure you can also spend time with your friends and family, we have a clear schedule of our projects and travel. We take your holidays, important birthdays, and weekend trips into account when creating this schedule. To become the ultimate specialist in your field, you will need to perform at customer sites, and we also schedule time for:

  • Preparing your next project(s) and reporting on completed projects.
  • Personal and technical trainings, both in the office and on the job.
  • Regular meetings with your manager and the team.

What kind of person are you?

You are passionate about technology, industrial software solutions, and IT, enjoy seeing the world, and have a real service attitude. You are independent, flexible, and stress resilient. Furthermore, you like to work hands-on, have an analytical mind, and possess strong problem-solving skills.

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, informatics, or a vocational level degree in the same area with several years of relevant experience.
  • Experience with or interest in software installation/configuration, data analysis, optimizing and improving infrastructure, and troubleshooting.
  • Affinity with process engineering and/or food production is a plus.
  • Good command of the English language.
  • Relevant EU travel and work documents required.
  • Willingness to travel internationally (~50-60%).
