Would you like to contribute to the future of food processing by seamlessly connecting IT and OT?

At Marel, you will have the opportunity to make a real impact. Would you like to help our customers in the poultry industry with robust, secure, and future-proof infrastructure solutions? Then join our team as a Field Service Engineer OT Infrastructure.

In this role, you will be the bridge between IT and OT, ensuring that industrial systems work together optimally in both new and existing factory environments. You will work closely with colleagues from Sales, Engineering, Service, and Innovation, and regularly visit customers on site to implement and improve solutions.

What will you be doing?

  • Take stock of existing factory environments (brownfield) and assess infrastructure and integration possibilities.
  • Collaborate with Sales and (Project) Engineering to translate technical feasibility and customer requirements into our standard solutions.
  • Implement OT networks at customers' sites according to the JBT Marel OT Blueprint.
  • Draw up and execute detailed implementation plans with minimal impact on ongoing production.
  • Maintain OT networks, including documentation and feedback reports.
  • Act as a point of contact for the helpdesk and feedback from the field, contributing to the continuous improvement of standards.
  • Actively participate in technical discussions and serve as a sparring partner for PTO and Innovation.

Who are you?

You are a true bridge builder between IT and OT, with a passion for industrial technology. You think in terms of solutions, communicate clearly, and switch effortlessly between customer, technology, and operations. You thrive in dynamic environments and are energized by realizing smart, safe, and future-proof infrastructures.

You also recognize yourself in this profile:

  • Bachelor working and thinking level, with a background in IT, Mechatronics, or Software Engineering.
  • 3–5 years of relevant work experience in IT-OT integration, networking, or system management. Experience in an industrial environment is a strong advantage.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and a customer-oriented mindset.
  • Knowledge of network security and remote access systems.
  • Experience with OT environments in food processing is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity guidelines (including IEC 62443), legislation (including NIS2 and CRA), and ISO/IEC 27001 is an advantage.
  • Excellent communication skills in English (Dutch is an advantage).
  • Proactive, entrepreneurial attitude and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to travel 40–60% of your time.
  • Willingness to work 2 or 3 days per week at our location in Boxmeer, in case you are not travelling.

What do we offer you?

  • A full-time job with a permanent contract.
  • Excellent secondary employment conditions: 27 vacation days, 13 ADV, travel allowance, bonus scheme, and pension.
