Director, Institutional Sales (Dutch Speaking)

We are looking for an experienced business development professional to lead our business in the Dutch institutional market. This is an exciting opportunity to collaborate across all areas of Morningstar | Sustainalytics and to work with the Client Relations team globally to grow our market presence. Your strong understanding of investor needs and business drivers, preferably supplemented with a sincere interest in the responsible investment space, will be key to your success. This role has a strong emphasis on relationship development with clients and prospects, and you will be an ambassador for Morningstar | Sustainalytics from the start.

Job Responsibilities:

• Lead the business development strategy for the Netherlands, with a primary focus on the institutional segment.
• Build strong relationships with all stakeholders — clients, prospects, and industry leaders.
• Grow and maintain a robust sales pipeline by taking ownership to create, identify, and successfully close commercial opportunities.
• Lead the coordination and response to proposals (RFPs) for the region.
• Act as a trusted advisor to institutional investors, banks, and insurance companies on responsible investment strategies, incorporating our products and services.
• Stay on top of market developments and identify and share product innovation opportunities.
• Represent the company at public occasions such as industry events and conferences.

• Demonstrated experience and proven success in business development, including building relationships with stakeholders across the business.
• A self-starter mindset — willing to take initiative and think creatively to contribute to the team’s success.
• Genuine interest in sustainable investing and alignment with Morningstar | Sustainalytics’ mission, vision, and values.
• A strong network in the Dutch institutional investor market and experience selling in this business environment.
• Dutch and English fluency (essential).
• Minimum of six years’ experience in business development or financial services.
• Degree in a related discipline (business, finance, environmental, and/or social sciences).
• Strong client servicing, consultative sales, and overall commercial skills.
