Role Overview
We are looking for a part-time (20-24 hours weekly) Financial Accountant, based in the Netherlands, to join our Finance team and support Scribbr and LanguageTool, Learneo’s EMEA entities. You will have the flexibility to work mostly remotely, with occasional meet-ups at our Amsterdam office.

In this role, you will support day-to-day finance operations and work closely with the EMEA Accounting Manager based in the Netherlands, while also collaborating with the Learneo corporate finance teams in the US, Canada, and India, allowing you to gain experience in a global environment as well!

You’re a proactive and detail-oriented team member who will make sure our administration is accurate, organized, and up-to-date. Meeting deadlines is your priority and you take responsibility for keeping everything on track.

Responsibilities

  • Execute day-to-day financial and bookkeeping operations, including A/P and A/R management
  • Support the monthly closing process: ensuring accurate and timely recording of monthly financial transactions and account reconciliations and the preparation of close reporting packages and other periodic reporting or audit requests, as needed
  • Support banking
  • Spot and suggest improvements to our financial processes

Qualifications

  • 1+ years working experience in accounting (preferably a multi-national company)
  • Written and spoken command of English; Dutch and German, a plus
  • Previous bookkeeping experience and understanding of accounting principles
  • You are tech savvy: learning new tools like our accounting software sounds exciting
  • You are detail-oriented and enjoy working with numbers and analyzing data
  • You are curious and proactive; you can work independently, and you take responsibility for your activities and projects
  • You are organised and structured and planning comes naturally to you

This role is eligible for hire in Netherlands. The full-time equivalent salary range is €36,000–€48,000 per year. Actual compensation will be prorated based on your agreed part-time hours.
