Managing Director Life Science and Health

As managing director life sciences & health, you will be the driving force behind our innovative projects and the growth of our organization. You will manage day-to-day operations and have final responsibility for results and customer satisfaction. You will directly manage the management team and operate from a helicopter view to efficiently support the organization. With your hands-on mentality, you will tackle problems and ensure a dynamic and stimulating work environment. You will report to the VP life sciences & health.

What are you going to do?

Responsibilities:

• P&L responsible for an organisation of approximately 100 employees.
• Formulating and monitoring strategic, tactical and operational goals, and adjusting where necessary.
• Strengthening and growing the organisation commercially and organisationally.
• Sparring partner for the management team and other stakeholders inside and outside the organization.
• Building your team, coaching and facilitating growth, development and innovation.
• Ensuring regulatory compliance and quality of medical devices.
• Building and managing relationships with C-Suite customers.
• Getting everything in order internally, putting the right people in the right place and making strategic personnel plans.
• Resolving escalations if the senior project manager is unable to do it.

Education and background:

• Completed university education in a relevant technical field.
• At least 5 years of managerial experience within relevant industries such as medical technology, high-tech or similar.
• Additional training or certifications in project management (e.g. Prince2, PMP) are a plus.
