We’re seeking an experienced and strategic Financial Planning & Analyst (FP&A) expert to join our Finance team. In this role, you’ll act as a key business partner and technical leader for the business across all departments. This role will build and maintain robust, scalable financial models and dashboards that elevate reporting accuracy and speed. It will be important to drive high-impact analyses, performing a key role in forecasting and budgeting cycles. The role will assess strategic initiatives including capital investments, new product launches and business-model pivots using ROI/scenario analysis.

The position will be based out of our Benelux head office in Amsterdam and report to the Associate Director of FP&A. HelloFresh Nordics + Benelux teams cover the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Denmark, Sweden, and Norway. You will

• Develop scalable models and tools: Enhance financial models, reporting dashboards, and forecasting methodologies to improve speed, accuracy, and transparency.
• Audit and stress test the data and inputs to the models, aiming for simplicity to allow efficient analysis.
• Deliver performance insights: Provide deep-dive analyses into business drivers, margin performance, customer acquisition, and retention metrics.
• Performance variance analysis: Work closely with operational teams to explain the business drivers and action follow ups.
• Build strong relationships with department leads across marketing, procurement, logistics, product, and production.
• Challenge business owners on the latest results as necessary and highlight risks to the budget.
• Provide analysis for broader FP&A projects such as cash flow modeling, FX hedging projects, and capital allocation on Capex.
• Drive cross-functional alignment: Ensure that financial goals are aligned with operational targets and KPIs across the organization.
• Conduct investment evaluation and ROI analysis on business cases, conducting scenario analysis using forecasting models to support strategic decisions.

You Have

• 8+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, strategic finance, or consulting, ideally in fast-moving, consumer-facing, or tech-enabled businesses.
• Excellent financial modelling, forecasting, budgeting, and scenario-planning skills with demonstrated experience in setting up complex models for FP&A purposes.
• Data-savvy mindset, with experience in business intelligence tools (Python, SQL, PowerBi, Tableau).
• Good understanding of user acquisition economics and cohort LTV-based planning.
• Excellent attention to detail, delivering high-quality work with minimal errors.
• Proficiency in process management, adhering to finance calendars and meeting deadlines.
• Ability to build trust and good relationships in a climate of open and direct communication.
• Self-motivation and the ability to work independently while delivering exceptional results.
• Ability to both think strategically and operationally: you see the big picture but also roll up your sleeves.
