READY TO BE PART OF SOMETHING EXTRAORDINARY? LET’S MAKE IT HAPPEN TOGETHER!

The Ice Cream division at Unilever is preparing to stand on its own, aiming to become an independent, EUR 8.3 billion publicly listed company by the end of 2025. We’re on a mission to create the ultimate snacking company—a place where growth, innovation, founder and ownership mentality, and performance are cultivated and rewarded. Here, we craft extraordinary ice cream experiences, transforming ordinary moments into lasting memories. Because we know, life tastes better with ice cream.

ABOUT THE MAGNUM ICE CREAM COMPANY:

The Magnum Ice Cream Company is all about growth—growing our business, our customers’ businesses, and our people’s careers. Growth begins with empowerment, so we free our people to be innovative, responsible entrepreneurs, driven and equipped to give our consumers more amazing products and unforgettable moments—while having fun doing it.

With 19,000 expert ice cream colleagues and iconic brands like Wall’s, Cornetto, and Ben & Jerry’s, loved in 76 countries, we are the world’s largest Ice Cream company leading the industry. We have been taking pleasure seriously for more than 100 years, serving happiness with every lick or scoop of ice cream for generations.

We are investing to unlock the full growth potential of The Magnum Ice Cream Company as a standalone entity, once we separate from Unilever, which is planned to happen before the end of 2025.

We dream big but keep things simple to act fast.
If you want to grow with us, make an impact, and shape the future of Ice Cream, this is the place for you!

JOB PURPOSE:

As a Communications Intern, you’ll be at the heart of our transformation journey. You’ll be part of the Global Internal Communications team and will be supporting employee engagement across our Amsterdam HQ and beyond, working on our corporate brand—The Magnum Ice Cream Company—while interacting with all our iconic brands.

This is your opportunity to help shape how we communicate during a time of exciting change, while building your skills in storytelling, stakeholder and project management, and community building.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Build your understanding of Internal Communications by supporting communication efforts during a period of impactful organizational change.
  • Project and stakeholder management by assisting in the planning and execution of internal and external activities and events, engaging with cross-functional teams and many different stakeholder profiles.
  • Strengthen our Amsterdam HQ community by contributing to initiatives that connect and inspire colleagues across our Amsterdam office. You will be in charge of our local channels, focused on narrowcasting and VivaEngage.
  • Create communication assets for internal campaigns and activations that reflect our evolving brand identity. This covers written texts and design/editing in Canva.
  • Contribute to building our corporate brand by creating content for The Magnum Ice Cream Company’s social media platforms, helping to shape our voice and identity towards the outside world.

YOU ARE THE PERFECT FIT IF:

  • You are available for 5 to 6 months starting 2nd of August (minimum 32 hours/week).
  • You are enrolled (3rd or 4th year) in a Bachelor/Masters program.
  • You have an affinity with corporate communication and community/event management.
  • You are eager and excited to learn.
  • You excel in communication and have good writing and design skills.
  • You are flexible and enjoy working in a dynamic environment.
  • You are fluent in English. (Dutch is a pre)

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT:

  • A unique mix of global scale & start-up spirit: €8.3bn powerhouse with an agile, entrepreneurial mindset.
  • A €625 gross/month allowance.
  • Travel reimbursement (if you don’t have a student travel card).
  • A good insight in an international corporate environment—working with senior leaders, 42 markets, an international team, and rapid change.
  • A performance-driven culture. If you do well, you will earn high responsibilities within your internship, including freedom to act, disrupt and grow. The team takes you seriously and listens to your needs. Your success is measured by impact, not by experience.
  • A company that celebrates joy, innovation, and purpose—We create extraordinary careers, just like our ice cream creates extraordinary moments.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

As publicly announced, Unilever will separate its Ice Cream business, which is expected by the end of 2025. This role will transfer to the new Ice Cream company. Local conditions apply to this position.

We take pleasure seriously. Join the Ice Cream team now!
