Lead the Future of Grooming & Beauty at Philips
The One Grooming Business Category Leader plays a pivotal role in defining and executing the integrated OneGrooming strategy within the Grooming & Beauty portfolio of Philips Personal Health. This leader is responsible for accelerating growth, driving category expansion, and building a cohesive, future-ready business that connects innovation, brand purpose, and operational excellence.
Anchored in consumer insight and technological innovation, the role leads the end-to-end business category strategy—defining where and how Philips wins in the evolving grooming and beauty landscape. The position balances strategic vision with executional excellence, ensuring superior financial performance, portfolio strength, and sustainable category leadership.
Your role:
Strategic Category Leadership
- Shape and execute the OneGrooming strategy to drive profitable growth.
- Define long-term category vision and innovation roadmap based on consumer-backed insights, science-based propositions, and AI-driven personalization.
- Translate macro trends—such as longevity, mood-boosting self-care, and authentic individuality—into differentiated product and brand strategies.
Business & Financial Performance
- Own the end-to-end P&L for the Grooming & Beauty category.
- Deliver on AOP commitments (CSG, EBITA, iGM), balancing growth acceleration with margin optimization.
- Drive value creation through pricing, portfolio mix, channel strategy, and disciplined investment allocation.
Innovation & Portfolio Excellence
- Lead portfolio development and lifecycle management—growing the core while creating adjacencies in new categories and benefits.
- Partner with R&D and Design to deliver breakthrough, high-trust innovations grounded in performance, quality, and sustainability.
- Build scalable innovation platforms and drive accelerated time-to-market.
Brand & Consumer Activation
- Build Philips’ Grooming & Beauty as a premier, trusted brand that empowers men and women to elevate self-esteem through performance and personalization.
- Ensure consistent and consumer-centric brand activation globally rooted in science, design, and authenticity.
- Oversee marketing and media sufficiency strategies that drive conversion, recruitment, and trade-up across markets.
Market & Commercial Excellence
- Win in China, India, and Brazil, while strengthening leadership in Western Europe and North America.
- Secure sales acceleration and early adoption for new launches through superior go-to-market execution and key retailer partnerships.
- Ensure category expansion and premiumization across key segments and geographies.
Organizational Leadership
- Lead, develop, and inspire a cross-functional, high-performing team, fostering a culture of empowerment, agility, and accountability.
- Champion collaboration between Beauty and Grooming, creating synergies and shared value across products and markets.
- Embed succession planning and capability building in line with Philips’ long-term talent strategy.
Continuous Improvement & Operational Excellence
- Drive simplification and operational excellence across the business category to enhance efficiency and responsiveness.
- Lead with data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement mindset.
- Build a resilient, sustainable operation—integrating biobased materials and ESG targets into the product and supply chain roadmap.
You're the right fit if:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 11 years (Bachelor’s) or 9 years (Master’s) of experience in Category or P&L Leadership, Business Development, or Consumer Marketing, ideally within Personal Care, Beauty Tech, or FMCG.
- Proven experience leading cross-functional teams and delivering profitable, sustainable growth in complex global environments.
- Proven track record of leading categories/businesses > EUR 500 mil.
- Demonstrates exceptional ability to navigate and orchestrate complexity across diverse categories and sub-brands, including Philips, Norelco, and OneBlade. Balances strategic priorities and operational execution while ensuring brand coherence and market relevance.
- Proven track record of effectively engaging with senior leadership and cross-functional partners on high-impact themes such as growth ambition, strategic investment choices, consumer acquisition engines, and evolving business models. Translates vision into actionable strategies that drive sustainable value creation.
- Extensive experience in leading through influence rather than authority, inspiring high-performing senior teams by fostering trust, clarity of purpose, and shared ownership. Creates alignment around strategic goals and cultivates a culture of accountability and innovation.
- Proven track record of relationship building with OEM/ODM Asian suppliers.
- Embeds a growth mindset across the organization, encouraging experimentation, learning agility, and resilience. Promotes “North Star” thinking to ensure long-term strategic clarity and bold ambition in decision-making and innovation pathways. Key experiences in building multi-year-old roadmaps with key global retailers.
- Possesses a strong conceptual capability to envision and shape disruptive innovation and willing to AI-disrupt the status quo and reinvent the next generation of One Blade. Connects consumer insights, emerging trends, and technological possibilities to craft future-forward solutions that redefine category boundaries; proven record in launching consumer-driven, tech-enabled products; experience in PDLM processes.
