About the Role
As a Key Account Manager, you will be a pivotal member of the regional specification sales team, playing a lead role in defining and executing strategic account plans. This position focuses on driving growth and managing strategic relationships within the oil, gas, and chemical sectors, while also providing flexibility to support adjacent sectors such as infrastructure, energy, and industrial manufacturing when needed. Your advanced technical product knowledge and commercial acumen will support the regional sales force and strengthen our positioning in high-value projects. You’ll work closely with key decision-makers in the specification community, contributing to the success of our regional execution plan and the broader business strategy.
What You’ll Do
- Maintain expert knowledge of our product portfolio and provide technical sales support to key accounts and regional sales teams
- Collaborate with regional sales teams to plan, monitor, and report on sales activities related to designated products or segments
- Lead the introduction of new products to the market and to designated customers
- Identify and manage specialist products within the region in collaboration with the technical team
- Spot significant business opportunities, address potential issues early, and coordinate with internal stakeholders to drive solutions
- Manage complex project data through GAUDI CRM to develop and deliver a clear opportunity pipeline
- Conduct detailed market mapping to identify high-value projects and engage with key stakeholders across the value chain
- Ensure all commercial opportunities are effectively communicated and leveraged internally
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field
- Extensive experience in strategic account management or sales roles (typically 5+ years), preferably in a B2B environment
- Demonstrated success in managing large or complex customer accounts
- Industry experience in oil, gas, and chemicals is essential; familiarity with infrastructure, energy, or manufacturing sectors is a plus
- Strong commercial acumen and flexibility to operate across diverse industry sectors
- Experience working across international markets and with cross-functional teams
- Proficiency with CRM systems and account planning tools
- Proven ability to build trusted, long-term partnerships with key stakeholders and influence decision-making at multiple levels
- Agile, collaborative mindset with strong problem-solving skills and the capacity to adapt quickly to changing business needs
