As our new Customer Care Manager, you will use your technical education and commercial sense to grow the sales of Service Business Products such as Service Level Agreements (SLA’s) and spare parts. By visiting food producers that use JBT Marel equipment, you will convince them to utilize our services, process knowledge, and parts, thereby improving the performance and reliability of their processes and systems.

You will spot opportunities, propose solutions that add value to the customer, and close deals. With your commercial acumen, you enjoy selling value—such as Total Cost of Ownership, improved machine performance, higher throughput, and quality—in a competitive market.

Your day-to-day will look a lot like this:

  • Visiting customers and prospects, identifying opportunities for sales of Service Business Products and parts. This includes arranging, preparing, and reporting these visits.
  • Independently handling the entire sales process, including offering solutions that match your customer’s needs.
  • Cooperating with Service Area Managers (for regional and industrial information), Service Engineers (your eyes at the customer), and Account Managers (who sell new equipment).

Since this is a commercial role, your performance will be measured by the number of visits you make, the volume of created opportunities, and your hit rate.

What kind of a person are you?

You understand machines and equipment, and you enjoy managing and organizing your own work. You have experience in sales of complex equipment or high-value services and strive to be a trusted advisor for your customers, with customer centricity being essential to you.

To be successful in this challenging role, your profile should include:

  • Education in a technical area (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering) or in Business Engineering.
  • Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in a technical environment, preferably at a manufacturer of capital equipment.
  • Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in sales of services or capital goods.
  • Understanding of the food processing industry is an advantage.
  • Comfortable speaker in English.
  • Independent worker, able to schedule your own tasks and weekly planning.
  • Willing to travel: 2 to 3 customer visits per week.
