CFO

At Enviu we're looking for a Chief Financial Officer to join our team.

Enviu is an impact venture-building studio headquartered in the Netherlands with offices in Indonesia, Kenya, and India. We build and scale impact startups tackling systemic challenges in textiles, agrifood, and beyond. Since 2004, we have (co-)founded 30+ startups increasing circularity, improving livelihoods, creating gender inclusion, and climate resilience.

We’re looking for a CFO for our office in Rotterdam to lead the Finance & Operations team across 4 countries. This position is for you if you are an expert in strengthening financial & business control, professionalizing processes and if you’re excited to bring your team capabilities to the next level. About the job

• Determine strategic direction together with co-directors
• Lead the Finance & Operations team of 10 people (Finance, Legal, IT, HR, Office Management, Impact Measurement)
• Oversee financial control, business control, cashflow management, and budget steering
• Oversee impact measurement and management and assure Enviu’s annual Impact Report
• Manage audits, compliance, and donor/grant reporting under Dutch GAAP
• Improve and professionalize internal processes and procedures
• Provide commercial and strategic input on fundraising (grants/philanthropy) and investment management

About you

• 15+ years finance experience; ideally previously in a CFO/Senior Finance Lead role with experience in leading the HR, IT/Cybersecurity, Impact Measurement, and Legal areas
• Background in progressive NGO/foundation or impact investing and experienced in international, multi-entity complexity. You can bring structure in a complex, entrepreneurial, and fast-paced organization as well as strike the balance between compliance, standardization, and flexibility
• Qualifications: Dutch GAAP expertise; CFA/RA preferred; knowledge of ERP systems (AFAS & PowerBI experience is a plus)
• Fluent in Dutch and English
• You can act as a strategic partner, process improver, and problem solver while leading by collaboration
• Based in the Rotterdam area and willing to occasionally travel internationally to the other locations

Founded in 2004, Enviu has (co)founded 30+ impact-driven ventures since 2010. Currently, Enviu has 14 ventures in the pipeline. We work with approximately 50 great people in our offices in Rotterdam, Bangalore, Jakarta, and Nairobi.
