Be part of progress: Join the Global Warehousing Services Team

Introduction to the job

In the Global Warehousing Services (GWS) department, we are seeking a strong project lead to help transform our existing warehousing landscape into a warehouse solution fit for the future. Our warehouses support our factories in the production of ASML machines and our customers in their chip production fabs by keeping parts and tools in warehouses close to them. We operate around 60 service and factory warehouses globally. The Global Warehousing Services team is tasked to ensure the warehouses are ready to support our factories and customers in the most efficient way. This means that all facilities need to be fit for purpose, provide enough space, and have sufficient skilled manpower working according to standard and cost-effective methods.

Role and responsibilities

As Project Lead Warehousing, you will be leading a project or project workstream on behalf of the Global Warehousing Services department. This could be supply chain projects or projects where it will be your end responsibility to translate the business requirements into warehouse requirements, bring the projects successfully to completion, and hand over the warehouse to the Operations team. Time, money, and (internal) customer satisfaction will be your main drivers.

  • Manage warehousing projects, including the assigned budget.
  • Translate operational, system, and storage requirements into the logistics processes needed for the service or factory warehouses.
  • Manage logistics suppliers and a project team to deliver the requested warehousing solution on time.
  • Build relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Define, drive, and deliver optimization projects in the Warehousing domain to drive costs down and material availability up.
  • Act as a subject matter expert in your field.

Education and experience

  • Master’s or bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or similar.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in a Supply Chain or Logistics position in the High-Tech industry.
  • Minimum 5 years of project management experience.
  • Experience with setting up strategic warehousing projects and processes.
  • Experience with change management and organizational transformations.
  • Experience with system implementations, preferably Warehouse Management Systems, is a plus.

Personal skills

Working at the cutting edge of tech, you will always have new challenges and new problems to solve, and working together is the only way to do that. You will not work in a silo. Instead, you will be part of a dynamic work environment where you will collaborate with supportive colleagues. There is always space for unique points of view and to challenge each other on the content. You will have the flexibility and trust to choose how best to tackle tasks and solve problems.
To thrive in this job, you will need the following skills:

  • Enjoys the combination of content and project leadership.
  • Analytical and pragmatic mindset.
  • Self-starter and finisher.
  • Result driven.
  • Flexible and adaptive towards a changing environment.
  • Structured worker.
  • Naturally able to build, report, and communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, including customers and suppliers.
  • Strong in change management and managing organizational sensitivity around specific topics.
  • Flexible in office hours.
