We are looking for a skilled and detail-driven freelance UI Designer to support our team on upcoming projects. You are a design obsessive with an eye for detail and a drive for excellence. You blend impeccable visual taste with technical mastery, creating digital experiences that feel as beautiful as they are functional. You thrive at the intersection of craft and technology, always pushing for the “10/10” output when “good enough” would be easier. You are not just a maker, you are a shaper. You bring clarity and refinement to every interface, ensuring every pixel, transition, and interaction feels intentional and elevates the brand.

Position is based in Amsterdam, start 3rd of November till end of year with flexibility to work hybrid/remotely.

What we need

  • Interface Design: Build visually exceptional UI systems for websites, platforms, and apps, ensuring every detail enhances usability and delivers a “wow” factor.
  • Vision & Alignment: Partner with experience, engineering, and art direction leads to translate strategy and user needs into interfaces that are both delightful and high-performing.
  • Interaction & Motion Craft: Bring interfaces to life with purposeful transitions, micro-interactions, and motion design that make systems intuitive, responsive, and emotionally engaging.
  • Design Systems & Toolkits: Translate design systems into high-craft component libraries and content toolkits that empower teams to deliver consistent quality across campaigns, platforms/products, and digital ecosystems.

What you’ll bring

  • Mastery of Figma Suite and a strong command of prototyping in Framer (bonus: familiarity with Spline for 3D UI or Rive for motion).
  • Sensitivity to brand strategy and the ability to translate it into pixel-perfect, emotionally resonant interfaces.
  • Experience creating interfaces that balance clarity, performance, and storytelling.
  • Strong motion/interaction instincts—knowing when to add restraint and when to amplify with cinematic impact.
  • Curiosity and openness to AI-powered tooling (Claude, Midjourney, etc.) as accelerators, while maintaining human judgment and craft as the differentiator.
  • A portfolio that demonstrates not just execution, but the ability to shape products into distinctive, brand-building experiences.
