Position Summary

Samsung Electronics Europe Logistics (SELS) is the Central European logistics organization of Samsung Electronics based in Delft, Tilburg, and Breda in The Netherlands. SELS functions as a logistics and financial control tower within Samsung Europe, with a focused role in logistics & supply chain strategy, innovation, and governance. SELS has approximately 200 employees located in the Netherlands and Slovakia.

As Logistics Cost Process Innovation (PI) Manager, you will be part of the West Cost team located in our Delft office. This team governs and develops contract strategy and operational excellence in cooperation with our logistics service providers (4PL, 3PL). The role combines logistics cost control with process innovation, ensuring seamless alignment between logistics contracts and actual cost settlement.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Logistics Cost Control Processing and Innovation:
    • Lead initiatives to minimize gaps between logistics contracts and settlement process.
    • Drive improvements to increase system-based settlement rates (automated invoicing/clearing).
    • Establish KPI framework to monitor exceptions and propose corrective actions.
  • Administration: Contract-Settlement Alignment
    • Analyze logistics contracts and ensure full integration with SAP ERP and cost settlement systems.
    • Monitor execution with contractual terms, escalate deviations, and initiate corrective measures.
    • Collaborate with Risk Management and Contract teams to embed settlement constraints into new and renewed contracts.
  • Team & Stakeholder Management
    • Manage and coach cost control team members, ensuring consistent process execution across countries.
    • Act as PIC for subsidiaries regarding logistics cost control, settlement, and accrual processes.
    • Partner with Finance, Logistics, and external service providers to ensure transparency and compliance.
  • Data Management and Reporting
    • Oversee tariff master data governance, rate table management, and contract archives.
    • Lead month-end closing activities, ensuring accuracy of accrual vs. actual costs across subsidiaries.
    • Provide analytical insights on logistics cost ratios, trends, and improvement opportunities.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Strategic and hands-on manager who combines strong analytical capabilities with leadership and innovation skills.
  • Bachelor/Master degree (preferably in Supply Chain or Business Management).
  • Fluent in English; other European languages are a plus.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in a similar function (logistics preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of logistics cost structures and settlement processes.
  • Proven ability to lead process innovation and cross-functional improvements.
  • Excellent problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and quick to adapt to any systems.
