Introduction to the job

As part of our strategy to advance capabilities in the physical and digital identity domain, our Risk, Business Assurance and Security team (RBA&S) is seeking a physical security compliance specialist for our global Physical Identity team to keep ASML’s assets secure. As a Physical Security Specialist - Data & Reporting, you will step into a brand new function and contribute to data and management information by maintaining datasets and providing clear reporting formats related to physical security.

Role and responsibilities

The Physical Security Specialist - Data & Reporting reports into the Physical Security Compliance Manager. You will be part of the 2nd line Physical Identity team, currently consisting of 8 people spread across various regions and expected to grow to around 20 people in the coming years. This team operates in the 3 Lines of Responsibility model: the 1st line manages risk (e.g., physical security operations), the 2nd line sets requirements and challenges/verifies control effectiveness (e.g., physical security policy framework and assessments), and the 3rd line provides independent assurance (e.g., internal audit).

In this position, you will:

  • Maintain the global physical security compliance database and ensure that data quality is in place for reporting purposes.
  • Oversee data collection mechanisms and how they fit into data architecture, partnering with business stakeholders to ensure quality and accuracy.
  • Contribute to the planning and execution of physical security assessments.
  • Support internal and/or external audit teams in the preparation, execution, and follow-up of periodic physical security audits.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of the physical security policy framework.
  • Support relevant stakeholders with ad hoc requests and prepare and maintain periodic reporting for them.
  • Create incidents on data tooling in IT and support solving them.

Education and experience

  • Bachelor's degree in security management, data management, or equivalent.
  • 3-6 years of experience working with data analysis tools and techniques.
  • Knowledge of data cleaning, modelling, automation, visualization, and transformation.
  • Experience with applications like Spotfire, MS SharePoint, MS Access, SAP Analytic Cloud, Power BI, Mendix, SAP HANA, SAP ECC (S/4), Excel, SQL, and Python.

To be successful in this position, you have a self-starter mentality, and you are highly motivated, with a strong work ethic and entrepreneurial mindset.

  • Ability to summarize and communicate technical data to a non-technical audience.
  • Ability to build strong, trusting relationships with internal stakeholders, customers, and suppliers.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

A Certificate of Good Conduct “Verklaring Omtrent het Gedrag (VOG)” is required for this position.
