As Sales Engineer, you play a key role in shaping innovative warehouse automation solutions for leading global customers.

What will you be doing?

In this position, you will be part of the Sales team, working closely with the Sales Manager and other specialists. Together, you ensure Vanderlande’s solutions deliver maximum value for our customers. Your main responsibilities include:

  • Translating customer needs into technical and commercial concepts that meet business and operational requirements.
  • Designing and evaluating warehouse automation solutions that balance efficiency, innovation, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Presenting and explaining concepts to customers in a clear and convincing way.
  • Acting as the technical key point of contact within the organization, ensuring all concept specifications are aligned with project needs.
  • Supporting a smooth handover of projects to the execution team, safeguarding continuity and quality.

This role combines technical expertise, analytical thinking, and strong communication skills. You will be challenged to work on complex logistics problems while also contributing to strategic business growth.

About the department

You will be part of the Domain Warehousing, which serves customers worldwide. The sales organization is divided into three market segments: Food, General Merchandise & Fashion, and Amazon.

For this role, you will strengthen the General Merchandise & Fashion team, contributing to Vanderlande’s ambition to expand its market coverage and develop these fast-growing sectors.

What we ask from you

We are looking for someone with:

  • A Master's or Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical, or Logistics Engineering.
  • At least 2 years of relevant working experience in a technical or logistics environment.
  • Strong analytical skills to structure and solve complex logistics challenges.
  • Affinity with E-commerce and/or Fashion markets (a plus).
  • A proactive mindset, strong communication skills, and ability to work in an international team.
  • Good command of English, both spoken and written.
  • Willingness to travel internationally (approx. 4 days per month).
