Your opportunity: Communications Specialist

The current Marketing & Communications team consists of 2 colleagues (1 with key expertise in PR and Corporate communications, 1 with primary focus on branding & content creation), who report into the COO of Main Capital (Bram Kaashoek). To further support our growth and further internationalization, we are expanding that team with a Marketing & Events Specialist. In this role, you will play a key role in shaping our PR & communication efforts. You will support Partners and senior management in Corporate Communications and Public Relations (i.e. coordination of press releases with internal and external stakeholders, supporting Senior Partners in scheduling interviews and interacting with media). In this role you contribute to Main’s visibility in the (foreign) press, the way in which we disseminate thought leadership and industry knowledge, and structure the activities of Marketing & Communications. Collaboration with the CEO (Charly Zwemstra), international deal teams, Main’s partner team and Investor Relations is essential to properly convey Main’s (deal) activities through various channels to our core target groups: investors and software companies.

What you’ll do

As a Marketing specialist you will develop the annual marketing plan and translate it into quarterly roadmaps. You will define KPIs and targets for digital visibility, community growth and event reach. Furthermore, you will:

  • Manage campaigns through various digital channels and optimize SEO/SEA
  • Work closely with the Content & Branding Specialist on content for LinkedIn, the website and other digital channels.
  • Keep our website up to date.
  • Maintain Main’s CRM (Deal Cloud Dispatch) and optimize marketing tools.

Event marketing:

  • Organize high-end, proprietary industry and community events such as Main Insight events, Main50 events, CEO/CFO/CTO days, and the Investor Day for our investors (LPs).
  • Organize internal events such as the Main Offsite days
  • Optimize registration processes, budgeting, and venue selection.
  • Coordinate visual and communication materials in collaboration with the Content & Branding Specialist.
  • Collaboration with our PR & Communications Specialist you will drive the positioning of Main Capital Partners as thought leader in enterprise software and manage sponsorship and branding assets.

As a final point, you will, together with the HR Lead play an active role in all Employer Branding activities:

  • Develop and execute an employer branding strategy, in collaboration with HR
  • Create campaigns that position Main as an attractive employer
  • Monitor and analyze brand perception and optimize the strategy accordingly

Why you’ll be a great fit

  • A relevant bachelor’s or master’s degree in marketing, or a related field.
  • 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in B-to-B marketing – preferably in industries such as: Private Equity, Investment Banking, Law, Accountancy/Big 4.
  • Strong knowledge of website optimization, SEO/ SEA, and social media platforms – especially LinkedIn.
  • Knowledge of Dealcloud as CRM is a plus.
  • Skilled in running multi-channel marketing campaigns (digital, social, email etc.).
  • Experience with coordinating and collaborating with external agencies and internal stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • High attention to detail and quality driven.
  • Fluent in Dutch and English, German or French is a plus.
  • Decisive, curious, pro-active and collaborative.
