Are you detail-oriented, curious, and ready to kickstart your career in FMCG and pet food? At Champion Petfoods, home to premium brands ORIJEN and ACANA, we’re looking for a Perfect Store & Category Analyst to help us drive growth in a market we love: pet care.

This is your chance to build a strong foundation in category management, shopper marketing, and retail execution while making a real impact on how our brands show up in-store.

Your Role

As our Perfect Store & Category Analyst, you’ll be the link between marketing, sales, and category management. You’ll support the rollout of our Perfect Store strategy, turn data into actionable insights, and help bring our category stories to life for our retail partners.

With your analytical mindset and passion for consumer behavior, you’ll make sure our products are available, visible, and shining on the shelf.

What are your Key Responsibilities?

Perfect Store Execution

  • Support the rollout and tracking of the Perfect Store framework across priority retailers and channels.
  • Monitor in-store execution (distribution, visibility, availability) and highlight improvement areas.
  • Maintain dashboards and performance reports.
  • Provide the sales team with toolkits and guidelines for flawless in-market execution.

Category Analysis & Insights

  • Collect, analyze, and interpret category and shopper data (retailer data, Nielsen, internal sources).
  • Spot trends, gaps, and growth opportunities.
  • Support in building compelling category stories that win at shelf.
  • Prepare reports and presentations for internal stakeholders and customer meetings.

Collaboration & Support

  • Work closely with the Category & Portfolio Manager and Portfolio Manager.
  • Provide day-to-day support with ad hoc analysis, data pulls, and reporting.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Customer Marketing, and Finance.

What are we looking for?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Economics, or similar.
  • 1–2 years’ experience in FMCG, retail, or marketing analytics (internship or entry-level experience welcome).
  • Strong analytical skills; advanced Excel & PowerPoint. Experience with Nielsen, Power BI, or Spaceman is a plus.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to turn numbers into actionable insights.
  • Strong communicator and collaborative team player.
  • Curious, eager to learn, and passionate about FMCG, consumers, and of course—pets!
  • Fluent in English; additional European languages are a plus.

What can you expect from Mars?

  • Work with diverse and talented Associates, all guided by the Five Principles.
  • Join a purpose driven company, where we’re striving to build the world we want tomorrow, today.
  • Best-in-class learning and development support from day one, including access to our in-house Mars University.
  • An industry competitive salary and benefits package, including company bonus.
