Senior Collibra Platform Engineer (Freelance, fully remote possible)

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Senior level Collibra Platform Engineer to join our Data Management Services team. Within the Data Management Service team, we productize capabilities—Data Governance, Data Catalog, and Data Quality—into secure, multi-tenant, self-service platforms with a unified builder experience and default controls.

What you are going to do

Collibra is our central platform used for Data Governance and Data Catalog, and we’re building a Data Marketplace where certified data products are available on demand. You will design and oversee the technical implementation of the Collibra Marketplace, ensuring seamless integration with enterprise data platforms, APIs, and governance frameworks. This role is critical for enabling scalable, secure, and performant data product delivery.

• Design end-to-end architecture for Collibra Marketplace implementation
• Define integration patterns with data lakes, data warehouses, and APIs
• Configure Collibra workflows, domains, and assets to support marketplace functionality
• Collaborate with DevOps and security teams to ensure compliance and scalability
• Lead technical workshops and provide guidance to developers and platform engineers

Technologies used in this role include: Collibra Platform, Workflow development (Groovy scripting), Azure (VNET/VPC, Private Link/Endpoints, identity), CI/CD (Azure DevOps/GitHub), and integration with other data platforms.

Who you are

We are looking for a professional with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, who has hands-on experience with Collibra platform configuration and integration. Other required qualifications are:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
• 5+ years of experience in data platform administration and data governance
• Strong understanding of metadata management, data lineage, and data governance frameworks
• Experience with REST APIs, Java, Python, or Groovy for workflow and integration development
• Advanced hands-on cloud fundamentals (Azure and/or AWS), Terraform IaC, CI/CD; good understanding of identity, secrets, network, and policy-as-code
• Experience with data mesh or data product architecture principles
• Collibra Solution Architect Certification or Collibra Certified Professional certification

Preferred qualification:

• Experience in Agile environments and empowered product teams

You will work closely with data stewards, engineers, architects, and business stakeholders to ensure Collibra is effectively integrated into our data ecosystem and supports our strategic data initiatives.
