Senior Product Manager Asset Backend Trading

As a Senior Product Manager, you’ll join the Chronos Trading Product Family to lead the asset backed trading initiatives. This role will involve helping the trading team to optimize trading across commodities using a wide breadth of both internal asset and external market data. For Eneco’s large international portfolio, we trade commodities such as power where we need to manage our market exposure and risk. Eneco is active in proprietary trading which requires reliable trading automation and algorithmic trading. The better we manage and execute our medium to long term trading strategies, the better the price is we can offer to our counterparties, and drive the energy transition forward as a result. You’ll be responsible for taking the next step to modernize these trading capabilities at Eneco.

Key Responsibilities

• Defining the vision and product strategy for the Asset Backed Trading domain.
• Acting as the key liaison between the development teams, including data engineers, data scientists, and trading analysts.
• Leading the development of data-driven products that support the energy transition and meet the needs of asset-backed trading.
• Implementing an OKR-driven approach, focusing on measurable outcomes to drive strategic goals.
• Overseeing the product lifecycle from concept to launch, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery.

What We’re Looking For

• Relevant experience in product management, particularly in the trading domain within energy, options, derivatives, or commodity trading domain.
• Proven expertise in developing scalable, high-performance data platform products from scratch.
• Experience in automated or algorithmic trading.
• Ability to define and drive product vision and roadmap, aligning with business objectives.
• Bonus: have a solid understanding of fundamental trading analyses.
• Strong analytical skills and a data-driven approach to decision-making.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.

You will be working in the Energy IT trading team. This is a new team so you will have all the benefits of building and creating your own vision, strategy and people.

• Support Asset Backed Trading in their trading activities, such as algorithmic trading and other trade automation initiatives.
• Set the stage for a high-impact product that fits the needs for medium to long term commodity trading.
