As Health & Wellbeing Manager, you will play a key role in promoting and safeguarding the health, safety, and wellbeing of our Associates.

You will implement and deploy BE Occupational/Health & Wellbeing programs, by actively collaborating with your key stakeholders: People & Organisation Business Partners, Leadership teams, Health & Safety, Line Managers, Health & Wellbeing Champions, your peers within the broader Health & Wellbeing function. You are open to gradually taking responsibility for occupational health topics in the Netherlands, to ensure cross-market alignment.

What are we looking for?

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Master's degree preferred) in Health Promotion, Wellbeing, Occupational Health, Human Resources is required. A minimum of 3 years of related industry experience and 3 years of program management experience in an occupational health related environment, preferably in corporate wellbeing.
  • Strong foundation in occupational health, including familiarity with relevant regulations and best practices.
  • Ability to effectively organize and prioritize work demands in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
  • Fluent in English and Dutch, French is recommended.

What will be your key responsibilities?

Occupational Health & Prevention

  • Act as a key liaison with our external occupational health partner (incl. company doctor & nurses, external prevention service, psychological support, ergonomics).
  • Support and coordinate risk analyses, workplace observations, and ergonomic evaluations – with fellow prevention advisors and our external occupational health partner.
  • Follow up on action plans from the Global Prevention and Yearly Action Plans.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders (e.g. Health & Safety, Line Managers, People & Organisation) to implement preventive measures and foster a culture of health.
  • Ensure legal compliance in line with Belgian occupational health legislation and Mars occupational health practices.
  • Be willing and able to take ownership of occupational health topics for the Netherlands, working closely with EU peers to support consistency and alignment across the markets.

Health Management

  • Use data to reduce health risks within your population.
  • Monitor and follow up on short- and long-term absences with discretion and care.
  • Play an active role in case management, in collaboration with the external prevention advisor, Associate Relations and Line Managers.
  • Develop and implement return-to-work/reintegration plans, ensuring alignment with legal obligations (including re-integration tracks).
  • Provide guidance and tools to leaders to strengthen preventive and supportive absence conversations.
  • Report on trends and advise on actions to reduce absenteeism.

Wellbeing

  • Develop and deploy data-informed wellbeing strategies to create healthy and energized Associates and work environments. Embed Be Well Together to all Associates in all segments in Belgium.
  • Deliver the global Associate Health & Wellbeing strategy locally.
  • Coordinate wellbeing activities in collaboration with Health & Wellbeing Champions.
  • Promote and raise awareness of the available resources that support mental health, energy, and resilience.
  • Measure engagement and impact, and adjust interventions as needed.
  • Promote a culture where Associate health & wellbeing is embedded in daily business practices.
