As the full time Graphic Designer in our Brand & Creative team at Amsterdam HQ, you’ll be helping to bring Swapfiets’ brand to life through bold, innovative, and visually stunning designs.

Are you a creative and driven graphic designer with a passion for content? If so, we want you to join our in-house creative team at Swapfiets! As a rapidly growing company with a startup mindset, we are always seeking new and innovative ways to grow our online and offline brand presence. That's where you come in. We are looking for someone who is a self-starter, and a big team player, with great design skills to help bring our brand to life.

How you pedal us forward!

As a Graphic Designer at Swapfiets, you will create engaging designs and content for all our channels. This includes a variety of formats such as digital advertising campaigns, landing pages and web banners, newsletters & email journeys, slide decks, retail materials, OOH and social posts (static, GIFs, video). You will also:

  • Collaborate with our Creative Lead, copywriter, content creator, and marketers to deliver integrated campaigns in line with our communication strategy;
  • Turn creative briefs into sharp, engaging designs that are on-brand and channel-optimised across multiple markets;
  • Contribute to ideation, shaping concepts and activations with the brand & creative team.
  • Act as a guardian of our brand identity, ensuring consistent, high-quality assets.
  • Partner with the Project Manager and Copywriter to prioritise and streamline workflows.
  • Stay ahead of design and social trends, keeping our brand fresh, relevant, and inspiring;
  • Work closely with external agencies and freelancers, providing design input and feedback;
  • Confidently pitch and present your design ideas to internal stakeholders.

The gear you need!

  • 4-5 years of design experience (agency or in-house) working across digital, social, and print.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Communication, or a relevant field;
  • A strong portfolio that shows a balance of creativity, craft, and commercial impact;
  • Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite (especially Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and strong skills in Figma.
  • A sharp eye for detail, strong typography skills, and understanding of how design drives performance.
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects and deadlines with a positive, collaborative mindset.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication in English. (Dutch, German, Danish, or French is a plus);
  • Available 40 hours a week and be in our HQ office a minimum of 3 days/week to help build a brand that users love.
  • Bonus points for familiarity with: Celtra AI (for building performance ads and dynamic content), Framer (web and interactive design), motion design and/or video editing skills (After Effects, Premiere Pro or similar).
