Rituals is growing; steadily expanding into new markets, opening new stores, growing our online presence and introducing new propositions. To ensure we can keep up with the growth, we are looking to add new talent to our Finance Development department to support and drive our growth ambitions!

Within Finance we aim to be an enabler for the growth of Rituals by being a reliable and efficient partner for internal and external stakeholders. We strive for continuous improvements for our Finance departments by developing scalable processes, improve existing processes & systems and automating where possible. Moreover, you are expected to partner up with other departments to successfully implement new initiatives by making sure that all Finance related topics are covered so that we stay in control! You will be a key player in shaping the future of Rituals’ Finance department, combining system expertise with project management skills and a vision for digital transformation.

As a Finance Transformation Specialist, you are responsible for driving Finance transformation by combining system and process expertise with project management, focusing primarily on the Purchase to Pay process. You initiate and lead cross-functional projects, improve Finance processes, and act as a strategic partner for our Finance systems in the Purchase-to-Pay process. Your role is pivotal in ensuring a scalable, efficient, and future-proof Finance organization that supports Rituals’ growth ambitions. Teaming up with both Finance and our IT (Business Technology) department is crucial for your success!

Your key responsibilities are:

As a Finance Transformation Specialist, you are part of the Finance department and will report to the Manager Finance Development. You will work closely with Finance teams like Financial Control, Finance Operations (Accounts Payable, Cash & Credit Collections, Coupa Operations) and Tax. In addition, you work with several other Rituals departments like Procurement, Supply Chain, Digital and Retail. This gives you the opportunity to get in touch with a broad scope of topics and work with stakeholders across the organization.

You play a central role in optimizing the Purchase-to-Pay (P2P) process, collaborating closely with both Procurement and Finance Operations to drive improvements and efficiency. Your primary focus will be on strengthening these core relationships and ensuring seamless integration across their activities.

  • Business process management: Proactively identify and propose improvements for our Finance processes (primary focus on Purchase-to-Pay process) and underlying systems (Coupa, Microsoft D365). Implement improvements, ensure adoption and successful realization.
  • Digitization: Collaborate with Finance teams and Business Technology to drive automation and digitization initiatives, incl. application of RPA and (Gen)AI.
  • Continuous improvement: Collaborate with Finance (P2P) specialists to identify business needs, translate them into actionable improvements, and ensure implementation. Focus on initiating, overseeing, and executing improvements, with support from specialized users for operational testing.
  • Stakeholder management: Build and maintain relationships with various stakeholders within Finance, Business Technology (IT), Procurement, Supply Chain and other departments. Proactively inform stakeholders, manage expectations and advocate for needed change.
  • Center of Excellence: Have strong finance process and system knowledge, be able to respond to questions from stakeholders and collaborate with the broader Finance department. This includes documenting processes and providing training to end-users.

You are tech-savvy, solution-oriented, well-structured and thrive in a dynamic environment. Proactiveness and a high level of autonomy is expected since we aim for continuous improvement, and you will have to find your way through the organization to realize this. Furthermore, you are able to develop a vision for how our systems should evolve in a growing organization and you are able to translate users’ needs into actionable initiatives.

  • You have at least 3-6 years of relevant experience in Finance (IT)
  • HBO or WO degree in Finance, Business Administration or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of Finance processes (O2C, P2P, R2R) and systems (e.g. D365, Coupa)
  • You have project management capabilities and experience with related tooling (e.g., Jira, Confluence)
  • You demonstrate strong analytical capabilities (e.g., Excel, SQL, PowerBI)
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Proactive, eager to learn and always strive for improvements
  • Fluent in English (Dutch is a plus), based in the Netherlands
