Join Vanderlande as a Data & AI Engineer

Are you ready to turn data into impact?

At Vanderlande, we’re looking for a data-driven professional who’s eager to transform raw data into actionable insights. If you’re passionate about Machine Learning, cloud technologies, and enjoy working with both technical and business teams—this is your opportunity to make a difference.

What you’ll do

As a Data & AI Engineer, you’ll help design, build, and run our Azure-based data platform. Working in a cross-functional Agile team, you’ll contribute to scalable data products and AI solutions used across the organization.

Your key responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain data pipelines with Azure and Databricks
  • Build and deploy secure, scalable ML models (Python, PySpark, SQL)
  • Process unstructured data (e.g. parsing, RAG)
  • Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines for data & ML workloads
  • Ensure platform performance, data quality, and compliance
  • Integrate ML models into testing and monitoring frameworks
  • Share knowledge and drive continuous improvement in the team

You bring:

  • 2-5 years of prior experience working as an Analytics Engineer or in a similar role.
  • A Bachelor or Master degree in Computer/Data Science, AI, or related field
  • Experience with Python, PySpark, SQL, and the Azure stack or Databricks
  • Understanding of ML concepts (e.g. regression, classification) and MLOps tools
  • Familiarity with LLM frameworks (e.g. LangChain, LangGraph, DSPy) is a plus
  • Interest in CI/CD practices, DevOps tools, and cloud-based deployments
  • A collaborative mindset, strong communication skills, and a passion for innovation
  • Knowledge of low-code tools (e.g. Power Platform) and Agile methodologies is a plus.

Your department

You’ll be part of the Central Data & Analytics department, responsible for developing and operating Vanderlande’s Azure-based data platform, built on Data Mesh principles. We serve as a central hub, setting standards and enabling decentralized teams across the organization to deliver impactful data products.

Our platform supports advanced analytics and AI use cases, using modern tools like the Azure stack, Databricks, and Power BI. With the rapid rise of AI, you’ll also help shape and scale our future-proof AI workbench.

What we offer

At Vanderlande, you’ll be part of a fast-growing, global tech company where you can shape your future while working on industry-leading data solutions.

Besides a competitive salary, we offer:

  • 40 vacation days (20 statutory + 20 via flexible budget)
  • Flexible and hybrid working (40% from home, with allowance)
  • Full commuting allowance, including public transport
  • Collective pension and health insurance benefits
  • On-site health center with gym and physiotherapists
  • Training opportunities via Vanderlande Academy
  • Active employee communities and initiatives
  • Excellent company restaurant and barista coffee bar
