Technical Operations Analyst III, Partner Payment Operations Central Support Team

Introduction to the team

Expedia Technology teams partner with our Product teams to create innovative products, services, and tools to deliver high-quality experiences for travelers, partners, and our employees. A singular technology platform powered by data and machine learning provides secure, differentiated, and personalized experiences that drive loyalty and traveler satisfaction.

This is a Technical Operations Analyst III role on a high-performing team with the opportunity to serve your group and internal customers in Partner Payment Operations (PPO) on a global scale. You will lead and collaborate on the strategy, development, and implementation of advanced automation and reporting solutions, drive high-impact initiatives, and mentor others across the organization. A key focus of this role is expanding the use of AI and machine learning to transform operational processes and unlock new capabilities across PPO.

In this role, you will:

  • Design and implement end-to-end automation solutions across PPO using tools like Expedia’s GenAI platform, UiPath RPA, Python, JavaScript, and Power Platform
  • Own the automation pipeline, including ROI analysis, stakeholder engagement, risk mitigation, and hands-on development of scalable, stable, and well-documented solutions
  • Expand AI/ML use cases across PPO, including predictive analytics, intelligent document processing, and decision automation
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to translate complex business processes into technical solutions that align structure, people, process, and technology
  • Monitor and maintain automation infrastructure, manage code repositories, and support testing, debugging, and peer reviews
  • Represent PPO in cross-functional initiatives, building strong relationships with Product, Program, Tech, and BI partners

Experience and qualifications:

  • A high performer with a passion for service, mentorship, and continuous improvement; you prioritize growth for yourself and others
  • 5+ years of experience in technical automation and operational accounting within mid to large-sized organizations
  • Advanced proficiency in AI and robotics automation, with hands-on experience in RPA platforms, Python, SQL, JavaScript, and cloud platforms like AWS and Azure
  • Skilled at applying AI/ML to solve business problems and improve operational efficiency
  • Able to translate between technical and business domains, with a strong grasp of operational processes and controls
  • Experienced in coaching and mentoring analysts, fostering cross-training, and ensuring continuity of knowledge and coverage
