For Yamaha Motor Europe N.V. (YME), located at Schiphol-Rijk in the Netherlands, we are looking for a Supply Chain Project Specialist in our PTW (Powered Two Wheelers) Division.

About the role:
The Supply Chain Project Specialist will be the forefront of optimizing our supply chain operations. Proactively drives initiatives to ensure our purchase, sales, and inventory budgets, while simultaneously minimizing risks and refining our supply chain processes. The pivotal role involves owning end-to-end optimization projects/initiatives, implementing data-driven solutions, and building key operational capabilities to enable positive change across the organization.

Collaborate closely with the Department Manager PSI Planning and PSI Planning Coordinator, key stakeholders across YME, YMC (Yamaha Motor Corporation) and our distributors to identify, implement best practices for maximum efficiency and operational excellence.

Your responsibilities:

  • Supply Chain Project Management - Define, lead, and manage SCM improvement projects to achieve PTW purchase, sales, and inventory budgets at minimum cost, ensuring customer focus
  • Manage budget & MTP - Collaborate on pan-European purchase/inventory budget and Mid-Term Plan (MTP) creation. Negotiate with factories to optimize supply and meet division goals.
  • Inventory & Sales budget achievement - Proactively manage production orders and inventory deviations across Europe to ensure healthy stock levels, optimize factory capacity, and align with market demands.
  • Improve monthly ordering - Advise PSI Planning Coordinators on analyzing supply bottlenecks, handling exceptions, and streamlining processes, providing timely reports.
  • Reporting - Report on project status, supply & inventory situations, and developments to management, justifying actions and suggestions.
  • Maintain Product & Market knowledge - Stay updated on PTW product lines, markets, and distributor organizations to inform analysis and propose effective actions.
  • Build relationships & share best practices – Foster strong relationships with distributors and internal teams. Proactively initiate discussions to improve procedures, systems, and results.

What do you bring?

  • 5-7 years of relevant business experience.
  • Bachelor's degree (Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Economics, or similar).
  • Exceptional analytical & reporting skills.
  • Deep knowledge of SCM, business, sales, and operations processes in logistics/manufacturing.
  • Fluent English essential; other European languages advantageous.
  • Self-motivated problem-solver with a big-picture mindset.
  • Skilled in stakeholder management, relationship building, and clear communication.
  • Proven project management abilities.
