Join Picnic as a Workday Absence Specialist

In a nutshell

You will be responsible for managing and optimizing our Workday environment, ensuring seamless operations. You’ll work closely with our HR team, with a strong focus on absences configurations, to support their needs and enhance overall system performance.
This role offers an exciting balance of operational support and project-based work. You’ll have the autonomy to lead initiatives, improve processes, and automate workflows, all while building robust, scalable solutions that keep pace with our fast-moving, dynamic environment. You'll play a key role in identifying opportunities for innovation and driving meaningful change – shaping how Workday supports our people and our growth.

Tricks of the trade

  • Workday expertise: As a domain expert in Workday Absence, you’ll support the implementation and ongoing enhancement of Absence and Time tracking modules, as well as Core HCM in multiple European markets.
  • Operations: You'll manage daily operations, address urgent issues, and offer friendly, hands-on support through ticketing systems to keep everything running smoothly.
  • Enablement: You'll gather business requirements, understand stakeholder needs, and lead the design, configuration, and deployment of new projects and system enhancements.
  • Stakeholder support: You’ll train and support key stakeholders, including Finance and People teams, helping them optimize Workday’s functionalities to improve operational efficiency.
  • Expansion: Assist in expanding Workday infrastructure to new locations.

We’re looking for

  • 5+ years of experience with Workday ecosystem
  • 3+ years experience driving, configuring and implementing a combination of Payroll/Absence/Time Tracking solutions
  • Experience with Workday dashboards and reporting analytics is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills, enabling you to translate business requirements into sustainable Workday solutions
  • Demonstrated project management experience
  • Fluent in English (Dutch is a plus, but not required)
  • Workday certification(s) are preferred but not required
