For our location in Putten we are looking for a Commercial Controller who combines commercial finance skills such as profit analysis and credit management with financial knowledge like expertise in financial reporting procedures. You will have the ability to work closely with different teams to drive the financial and commercial success of the organization.

The role is a temporary position for 6 months and can be done fulltime or parttime (4 days). Half of your time you have the ability to work hybrid.

About The Role

As the Commercial Controller you will analyse internal and external developments, and to apply policies, procedures, and guidelines in line with our finance strategies. As part of your work, you contribute to accurate and up-to-date financial insights, minimization of risks and optimization of business processes.

The role will involve projects or activities as needed, for example to the financial processes (budget, reporting, and compliance). You will assist in the company’s monthly and yearly closing, setting up of internal control systems and adopting Nutreco policies for financial reporting. You will work for three entities in The Netherlands, Belgium and France. As part of your job, you will collaborate with the Finance Shared Service Center (FSSC) to keep the accounting up to date and to resolve discrepancies and variances.

Responsibilities

  • Enhance effectiveness and efficiency of the processes by identifying and implementing improvements to systems, processes, and practices
  • Analyzing and reporting on commercial and financial data to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities.
  • Implementing and maintaining effective credit management
  • Staying up to date on financial regulations and accounting standards.
  • Managing and participating in (a portfolio of) projects and delivering the required outcomes, according to targeted outcome, timing, budget and quality of deliverables.
  • Acting as a liaison with managers, advising and supporting them concerning finance related matters. Formulating and presenting possible solutions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial analysis, and financial reporting
  • Experience in a financial or commercial controlling role
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively
  • Profound English language skills in word and writing, Dutch language skills are preferred, but not required
