We cater to both retail and corporate customers, ensuring diverse coverage options to meet various needs.

What Will Your Role Be?

Join Allianz Benelux as we embark on the Internal Model Approval Process (IMAP) project—a multi-year initiative focused on obtaining regulatory approval for our internal model. We are seeking skilled risk managers to support this critical project, offering a unique opportunity to gain insights into the company and advance your professional growth.

As a Quantitative Risk Manager in our Risk Management department, you will play a vital role in Internal Model Aggregation and Governance. This dynamic position is central to the IMAP project, where you will contribute to the aggregation framework of our internal model. Working alongside colleagues in Finance, you'll benefit from numerous opportunities for learning and development throughout your journey with us.

Your Main Responsibilities:

  • Internal Model Aggregation: Conduct analysis of risk capital results, correlations, Gaussian Copula structures, and monitor and calibrate cross effects of the internal model. Communicate results effectively to management.
  • Risk Identification: Assist in identifying and assessing all risk capital associated with the Internal Model, ensuring accurate figures and robust risk management practices.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure clear communication, alignment, and transparency.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure the internal model Aggregation Model meets all Solvency II requirements, including implementing necessary Aggregation Documents.
  • Internal Model Framework: Contribute to the development and maintenance of the new internal model governance framework.
  • Process Optimization: Drive efficiency within Risk Management by continuously improving processes and tools, such as automation with GenAI or programming languages, enhancing overall effectiveness and productivity.

What We Expect From You:

  • A Master’s degree in Econometrics, Mathematics/Statistics, (Financial) Engineering, Actuarial Sciences, or a similar field.
  • 1 to 4 years of experience in Finance/Insurance, with practical experience in applied financial mathematics.
  • Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Fluent communication skills in English, with Dutch and/or French as a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
  • Motivated team player with strong quantitative skills, capable of explaining complex analyses understandably.
  • Programming knowledge, e.g., Python, R, VBA.
  • Experience in Risk Management and Solvency II is a plus.

What We Offer:

  • Dynamic Environment: Thrive in a multicultural team of experts within a dynamic international landscape based in Brussels or Rotterdam.
  • Competitive Compensation: Enjoy a competitive salary package with excellent secondary benefits, including a great pension scheme and generous holidays.
  • Versatile Work: Engage in diverse projects across financial topics and insurance businesses.
  • Motivating Atmosphere: Work in an environment that encourages initiative and views failures as learning opportunities.
  • Development Opportunities: Access Allianz’s global risk and actuarial community, with opportunities for internal and external training.
