Job description

As Manager Production Logistics at NTS Drachten, you provide direction for MPS & MRP planning, Production planning, and the Warehouse (inbound/outbound). With your vision, leadership, and results-oriented approach, you optimize processes, increase delivery reliability, and contribute to maximum customer satisfaction.

You work closely with production, strategic purchasing, NPI, and sales. Additionally, you are an important sparring partner and advisor for the MT, actively contributing to the organization’s direction.

Furthermore, your tasks include:

• Developing and implementing the production logistics policy within NTS’s strategic framework;
• Translating the Sales & Operations Plan into an efficient production schedule, focusing on KPIs such as service levels, DIO, lead times, RLIP, and CLI;
• Mapping the entire value chain and promoting collaboration between departments to improve processes and reduce costs;
• Coaching and inspiring your team, ensuring quality, quantity, and efficiency;
• Analyzing results and translating insights into concrete action plans for quality, cost, and delivery reliability;
• As a member of the MT, actively contributing to the strategic direction and translating it into clear annual plans and KPIs;

Requirements

• You have a HBO/WO level of education, preferably in a technical or business administration field;
• You have proven experience in a similar managerial role within a (high-tech) production environment;
• You hold an APICS CPIM certification;
• You have extensive knowledge of ERP systems and supply chain processes;
• Experience with change and continuous improvement projects (CI/Lean) is a must;
• You are a strong communicator, proficient in both Dutch and English, and can easily switch between different levels;
• You know how to connect, inspire, and motivate people, both within the organization and towards external customers and suppliers;
• You combine a strategic vision with a hands-on mentality, translating long-term plans into concrete, achievable actions in the short term.
