JOB PURPOSE:

As the Account Manager for Superunie & Hard Discount, you will play a crucial role in managing and optimizing our sales channels, including key Superunie retailers and Hard Discount accounts like Aldi and Lidl. Your focus will be on building strong relationships with customers and ensuring their needs are met. This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about sales, has a proactive mindset, and enjoys working in a dynamic environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Account Management: Oversee the commercial performance of Superunie and Hard Discount accounts.
  • Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of 1 FTE and 1 intern, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
  • Negotiations: Lead negotiations with your Superunie retail members and coordinate Hard Discount deals locally in collaboration with the international sales team.
  • Customer Relations: Act as the primary contact for key Superunie & Hard Discount retailers and foster strong relationships.
  • Stakeholder Management: Coordinate with marketing, supply chain, finance, CSP, and international sales teams of Aldi and Lidl to ensure (global) alignment and strategy execution.
  • Customer Advocacy: Serve as the voice of the customer internally, ensuring their needs and feedback are communicated and addressed.
  • Business Planning: Develop and implement Joint Business Plans (JBP) with key customers to drive mutual growth and success.
  • Entrepreneurial Mindset: Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities, driving innovation and growth within accounts.
  • Sustainability: minimize business waste by ensuring obsolete management towards your customers and turn this into a commercial opportunity.

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years in (junior) account management, with a preference for experience working with Superunie and/or Hard Discount retailers.
  • Language: Native Dutch speaker, a good level of English, both written and spoken.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Track Record: Proven history of delivering results and achieving commercial targets.

SKILLS:

  • Negotiation skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
  • A proactive and entrepreneurial mindset, with the ability to identify and seize new opportunities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
