About iotspot

iotspot smart workspace platform consists of several tools to make the most of smart workspaces, meeting rooms and parking spaces. Use the tools that fit the circumstances of the organization.

Job Description

iotspot is looking for a native iOS (Swift) developer to improve and extend the two iOS apps of our PropTech platform. As a nimble start-up, we have created this platform solution, with a solid software foundation, AWS-architecture and IoT hardware that interacts with iOS and Android apps. We are now rapidly gaining large enterprise customers and globally operating partners achieving significant numbers of end-users. Scaling up, we need to grow our development team, from a small band of senior people and contractors, to a larger team of around 10 people in the course of this year. The team will be a mix of junior and senior developers, engineers and testers; most of them in-house.

Your full-time role

You will be responsible for improving and extending the native iOS apps of our IoT platform. Given our worldwide scope and reputable customers, you achieve the best usability and performance in close cooperation with product management, our AWS back-end specialists and every now and then with our hardware engineers. App functionality is aligned with our Android versions and in line with Apple iOS guidelines. While the highest quality is of the utmost importance, you remain agile and deliver against stretched promises.

Your profile

  • A bachelor’s degree in a relevant education and at least 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience as iOS / Swift app developer (Xcode, Eclipse, XML / JSON, SQLite, ObjectiveC / Swift, API’s and Git/BitBucket)
  • Proven knowledge of object-oriented design and development as well as the end-to-end process of iOS app creation (inheritance, interfaces and working with data models/mvc, continuous integration)
  • Excellent technical knowledge to validate the feasibility of concepts and aware of the latest developments in the software field with special interest for hardware
  • Colleagues recommend you because you write clean, functional code and are able to estimate, prioritize and deliver in a fast paced internationally oriented environment
  • You have an EU-nationality and are proficient in and comfortable using English in word and writing

What we offer

  • Full time employment with flexible working hours
  • Appropriate remuneration
  • Opportunity to partially work from home (or wherever you prefer), while able and willing to work at our office in ’s-Hertogenbosch, NL
  • A dynamic and fast-growing organization (from startup to scale-up)
  • A modern and informal organization and culture
  • Being part of our passionate and enthusiastic team in which everyone is committed and eager to learn

If you are eager to become part of our development team, please send your application (cover letter and CV) to hello@iotspot.co. We look forward to receive your pitch by Friday October 23rd!

We make hybrid work!
We make hybrid work with our 'smart building' service and envisaged office sharing and settlement approach. In essence, iotspot makes desks, meeting rooms and parking lot availability visible. Subsequently, organisations use our Mobile App and Dashboards to manage their office property and facilities, to provide certainty about workspace availability and colleague presence and to share and allocate office space to organisational entities.
