Position Summary:

The Divisional Compliance Officer MSNT (MedSurg & Neurotechnology), EMEA acts as a strategic advisor and leader of the compliance programs for the MSNT businesses in EMEA to enable growth and manage risk across the Transatlantic Operating Model (TOM) markets across Europe and EEMEA. This role is critical to driving consistency in the compliance programs from the applicable divisions in support of Stryker’s globalization strategy.

This individual works closely with senior leaders within Compliance and the business to drive engagement and align programs and initiatives to the strategic business goals of the divisions and regions. This role reports to the VP, Compliance – Commercial Divisions.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Actively engage as a member of the division compliance leadership team
  • Partner with regional compliance officers to provide strategic compliance leadership and support for Stryker’s MedSurg & Neurotechnology businesses in the TOM Markets
  • Drive divisional compliance initiatives within TOM, working closely with country or regional compliance officers to drive mitigation plans and support mitigation activities
  • Enhance divisional business strategies and priorities across the TOM markets while representing local and regional needs back to the divisions
  • Lead MSNT/TOM specific compliance risk assessment and oversee the region’s MSNT compliance mitigation efforts
  • Support regional compliance officers by providing guidance and influencing key decisions of MSNT commercial leaders and their leadership teams in the TOM markets
  • Effectively navigate the matrix and engage key stakeholders to drive strategic initiatives
  • Identify and share best practices in managing risk across the TOM and divisional MSNT businesses; share relevant information from business reviews and other sources to enhance divisional business knowledge and understanding within the region
  • Partner with regional senior compliance officers to drive an environment of success for the team, stakeholders, and compliance program
  • Build strong relationships and manage the coordination of TOM compliance initiatives for MSNT
  • Communicate regional compliance risks and partner to define strategies to mitigate risk and promote a strong culture of compliance
  • Partner with MSNT Division Compliance Liaisons in APAC and LATAM to provide holistic overview of local program and risks
  • Effectively participate as member of MSNT division commercial leadership teams in EMEA
  • Partner with relevant legal stakeholders in the TOM Markets
  • Support compliance-related integration activities associated with MSNT divisions in the EMEA region
  • Provide relevant updates to the divisional and regional compliance leadership teams, global compliance leadership team and other key stakeholders as needed

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Minimum of 10 years applicable experience; prior experience in life-sciences strongly preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of industry regulations and compliance frameworks
  • Experience designing and implementing compliance programs across diverse business functions
  • Ability to influence without authority
