Help take our audio-visual capabilities to the next level by delivering amazing experiences and content for Philips’ audiences and customers at live and virtual events, and on its social media profiles and online properties.

As the studio manager, you’ll help launch and manage a flexible studio space that hosts video recordings, live press interviews and a remote production video set. By standardizing our in-house capabilities, you’ll help meet our existing video production needs and help us be ready to meet the new demands of Philips’ Communications & Brand function.

Objectives for the role

  • Manage an on-site studio and editing room, ensuring the smooth running of the production teams’ workflow and administrative processes.
  • Produce (and provide editorial guidance for others) in scripting, storyboarding, filming, producing, editing and finalizing videos.
  • Assess the studio’s occupancy rate, creating reports and recommending or carrying out continuous improvements and managing equipment inventory.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest industry trends in video production and usage, and platform changes, integrating new approaches and technologies.
  • Collaborate closely with teams in Comms & Brand and across the company, fostering positive relationships at every level of leadership.

Your role

  • Produce and direct live and digital events (internal and external).
  • Film, edit and deliver on-brand and polished videos to meet stakeholder requirements.
  • Oversee day-to-day productions at the studio to ensure the highest quality content is being produced, and audit and review filmed content to ensure high quality levels are achieved.
  • Manage suppliers and, when needed, on-site technical crews
  • Serve as first point of contact for anyone using the studio and editing room (presenters, business stakeholders, executives, customers, etc.).
  • Attend briefing and planning sessions, actively taking part in discussions about filming projects to offer advice and support.

Your team

This role is part of the Communications Center of Excellence (CCoE), a team of communication specialists who oversee global Philips strategic communications planning and programs, content strategy and creation, social and digital channel management and related measurement. It is part of the global Communications & Brand function and reports to the Director, Content Strategy and Editorial.

You are a right fit if you have the following:

  • Bachelor’s/master’s degree (or equivalent) in communications, marketing or a related area.
  • Eight years’ experience working in film/video, including production of videos of various kinds.
  • At least five years’ professional experience in production within a multinational company, studio, and/or production company.
  • Demonstrated track record in creating content specific to health technology.
  • Proven ability to maneuver in matrix organizations and interface with executives.
  • Excellent project management skills, and the ability to manage several tasks simultaneously, while remaining calm under pressure.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Innovative and creative approaches to challenges.
  • Sharp attention to detail and ability to work at pace.
  • Curiosity, energy and a pro-active and results-oriented approach.
